When I reviewed Spb Wireless Monitor 3 a few months ago, I called it one of the most important utilities for anyone with a limited data plan. Yet, I found that it still had room to grow, with a number of features not reaching their full potential.
Well, for a second opinion, let’s take a look at what Clinton Fitch of Clinton Fitch(dot)com had to say about this fantastic program. One thing he did which I thought was great was to look at both the Professional (touch screen) and the Standard (non-touch screen) at the same time, meaning you could see how the program worked on both types of devices.
In his review, Clinton concludes:
As you can see, Wireless Monitor is extremely powerful in monitoring and reporting your usage of your data connections on your Windows Phone. The improvements in this version are substantial and the robust reporting and alarm configuration settings should prevent excessive overages for users if they are configured properly. If you are one who needs to make sure you don’t go over on your data plan each month, Wireless Monitor is really a no-brainer. If you are an unlimited data plan subscriber, this application can help you see trends in your usage so you can adjust as necessary. Either way, Wireless Monitor should be on the short list of every Windows Phone owner’s must have list.
Check out his full review, which is chock full of pictures both on the HTC Advantage and the ultra-portable HTC S740.
The folks over at www.learnbemobile.com have posted a fantastic video of Spb Software House’s presentation of Mobile Shell 3 from today’s session of the Mobile World Congress. Take a look and prepare to be dazzled. Upgrades abound.

Earlier today, our good friend, Clinton Fitch posted a review of Spb Traveler over at ClintonFitch(dot)com. As usual, his review is thorough, with a multitude of screen shots. Along the way, Clinton had this to say about the program:
Anytime I am able to find a tool that makes travel easier I’m automatically going to be interested. Once such tool has been Spb Traveler. Traveler was introduced in June 2007 and quickly became one of my must have applications while on the road. Traveler had everything I needed: Weather reports for multiple cities, a trip planner, currency converter, unit converter and a tip calculator just to name a few items. It was everything a traveler needed in one application.
Those are some pretty bold words, and that is just the beginning of the review. If he starts off this strong, you know the the rest is going to be good. But don’t take my word for it. Head on over to ClintonFitch(dot)com and read for yourself.
Not long ago, our very own Tjchan took a hard look at Spb Online, and found a lot to like there. But what do others think of this fine program? Well, our good friend, Clinton Fitch, has just posted his review of the program over at Clinton Fitch(dot)com.
If you are not familiar with it, Spb Online is an online experience; allowing you to watch TV, listen to music, read the news, purchase software, play games, and more…all from the comfort of your Windows Mobile device.
Clinton took a thorough look at Spb’s latest offering and found:
If you look at Spb Online as a whole you can see that it is a fantastic concept that is well executed by the Spb team. There are some rough edges for sure, especially around the News function but it is workable. The ability to buy securely online from the application itself is fantastic and makes the buying experience quick, simple and fun. The automatic updating of the application over the air is another nice feature and one that frankly every developer should figure out how to do. Spb Online is a definate winner and I can’t wait to see how this application continues to grow.
Check out the full review, with tons of screen shots, at Clinton Fitch(dot)com. And head over to the JAMM Store where you can download your very own copy of Spb Online, directly to your device.

Spb Online is a program that offers users an online experience by linking them to all sources of information – from live streaming video and audio, to RSS news feeds and weather, Spb Online is perfect for those getting started into the Windows Mobile experience. Granted there are many programs out there that do similar things, but Spb has combined some of the best tools in a sleek package with transitions and touch drag interface that even mimics the iPhone. It even has online games (which can be purchased separately beginning today)! Let’s dig in and see if Spb Online is all that it claims to be.
