The G1 android phone was and is a ground breaker as far as introducing the new OS from Google. Well it’s not so new now, but except for new applications developed for the OS, and lots of people joining the bandwagon, there has been little movement in the development of devices with the OS on them.
So what would you say to a T-Mobile G2 device, there has been a rumour going around for a few days now, that, is rather dubious.
Although the rumour has been discredited somewhat, and given a nice bit of photochop, still the posts come, the tenacity with which the mobile community has embraced this bit of folly, is laughable, but the other information that has surfaced because of the impetus provided by this unverifiable tidbit is rather news worthy.
It may have even spurred the bevy of news that has surfaced since it became intertube fodder.
Wow it’s hard to think back to last Christmas, let alone last week, I find this time of year, the busiest and most stressful in my industry. Boxing Day is a blessed release, everything work related, and a lot of tech related news takes a little hiatus. Not for long though, What with CES in January, and how could we forget MacWorld which also kicks off in the first week of the new year, and that’s where this humble rumour resurfaces from.
Now that might seem a little farfetched, that video is from 2007, and we are coming into 2009, but if you Google (Google is your friend
) iPhone Nano, under images, whoa
Get ready for a roller coaster ride, cause the Windows Mobile train is nearing the top of the first drop, into what may be oblivion, or actualisation. Since a Motorola Exec disclosed the existence of Windows Mobile 6.5,
“Windows Mobile 6 has not delivered the experience that I think Apple has been able to deliver, but as you look at the plan that is Windows Mobile 7 and even 6.5, I think there are significant new added features which will help the platform”.
and then Microsoft’s resident monkey man, on tour in Australia, got an overdose of bananas, and confirmed it. There are, questionable, dubious screenshots emerging, well one lot actually.
I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of this, but I’m not really convinced. What do you think about the look of these screenshots? Notice anything out of place? Others have
Kevin Rose posted a picture of what might be the new iPod Nano, then Brandon shared a link with me, that indicated there was a company out there making cases to fit an iPod that resembles this form factor. Anyone recall the furor around the “fattie” the iPod ugly duckling? It turned out to be a swan didn’t it? ![]()
So being a quiet Sunday evening, and an incredibly slow news day, I thought I’d post something to excite you and titillate your new device sensors. Oh, to clarify, define exciting! To enjoy this you’ll really have to be into watching the blue lines and percentage meters for software installs and large downloads. Cause it’s 27 days and counting. I really hate these sort of countdown sites, as if I’ve nothing better to do than watch a clock tick over.
Now I found this over at SlashPhone, from T3, the gadget site.
On an unknown (until now) website titled just www.the01phone.com, lies a handset that will blow all others out of the water. With a 5.0-megapixel camera, 3G internet, and a whopping 32GB of storage, the 01 – as it’s believed to be called – could mean the death of the Nokia N96, the BlackBerry Bold and Samsung’s INNOV8 i850.
I’m not sold on this one, I have doubts. It would be a big device, but I can’t tolerate a 27 DAY COUNT DOWN. If it’s real I will humbly wait, BUT…
The niftiest thing here is that it might have an inbuilt laser keyboard, who can tell? I just checked, only 27 days and 3 hours!
