You’re still here?
Alright, well if you’re still here, you either haven’t found the download link yet (hint: click the price thing below) or you don’t quite know what “fring” is. So for the latter part of you, here’s a clip from their website … but I’ll give you a hint: IM + VoIP + extras = fring

VideoView: Missile Command for iPhone
Posted by: Brandon Steili on Sep 25 2008 - 8 viewsAlright, so just picked up a new game a VERY short while ago and thought I’d give you a look at what its like. Its pretty obvious in the video - but I haven’t spent a lot of time yet with the game. I will say though the price at roughly $5 is decent. You’ll end up spending a lot of time with the game - but it’ll be in 5 minute spans…
You can find Missile Command and a few other apps from Atari in the appstore.

ATTN iPhone 3G Owners: USB Power Adapter Recall
Posted by: Brandon Steili on Sep 19 2008 - 30 views
Yes, that USB Power Adapter. The impossibly small one that we all shook our heads at and couldn’t believe. Well its got a recall. But not for something simple like the ability to catch on fire. Heck no - when you’re Apple and you’ve come up with an impossibly small adapter - you recall that adapter for the impossible: The little frickin prongs can BREAK OFF in the plug! Who Knew?!
Anyway, for now stop using the little guy and charge using your computer for a few days. According to Apple you can exchange it in stores on October 10th or you can order a replacement online.
Direct from the Apple Recall Page:
Important Safety Notice
Today Apple announced the Apple Ultracompact USB Power Adapter Exchange program.
Apple has determined that under certain conditions the new ultracompact Apple USB power adapter’s metal prongs can break off and remain in a power outlet, creating a risk of electric shock. We have received reports of detached blades involving a very small percentage of the adapters sold, but no injuries have been reported.
The ultracompact USB power adapters were supplied with every iPhone 3G sold in the following countries, and may also have been purchased separately as an accessory:
Note: Apple USB power adapters supplied with original iPhones or supplied with iPhone 3G units sold in other countries are not affected.

OtterBox Launches iPhone 3G Protection - Finally!!
Posted by: Brandon Steili on Sep 17 2008 - 44 views
Ever have a “woohoo!” moment? Ever have one over something like a case for a phone? Well, I just did. For quite some time I’ve been waiting and hoping for the OtterBox Defender for the iPhone 3G to finally get its official launch - and after a couple tense months it’s finally here!
I used the Defender Series on my original iPhone for almost as long as I owned it and absolutely loved the original. It definitely earned its keep when my iPhone took some unexpected falls, a few hiking trips and even a couple trips to the beach.
Anyway, plan on a full review coming up soon! And also keep an eye out for the new colors which are coming soon! Personally, I’m having a hard time deciding between black/yellow and all white!
Full press release after the jump!

On My iPhone: Pangea’s Billy Frontier [review]
Posted by: Brandon Steili on Sep 02 2008 - 70 views
Where to start, where to start… ?
I found out about Billy Frontier - get this - yesterday from my friends over at What’s On iPhone. Yes, I know … I should be paying better attention to every release that comes out for the iPhone, but let’s be perfectly honest - most of it is complete and utter shite. I frankly feel like most times I spend a minute looking further into an app - its a minute wasted that I could have been doing something else. However given how much time I’ve spent on Enigmo (also from Pangea) I just had to give this a game look.
Unfortunately, sometimes this personal policy of non-time wasteage leads me to missing potential gems. This was one of them - not because its the next killer app, but because I missed out on a great price for it. PANGEA!! Drop the price back to $2.99. At $2.99 this game is solidly in the “sweet-spot” for value and impulse buying without remorse. At $2.99 its definitely a recommended buy, at $5.99 its just one more game that I would have a hard time deciding if its really worth it. For $2.99 its money well spent, for $5.99 its sort of “meh”.
Pretty harsh eh? Truth be told - I really like the game. Really I do - I spent almost 2 straight hours on it last night and a good portion of my lunch hour today. Its quite fun, but I’m really just questioning the price point.
Click on through… I got some more to say and a ton of screenshots!
