I have reviewed a lot of headsets since I started writing for JAMM.  In fact, I have tested and reviewed many of the most prominent names in Bluetooth headsets: Jawbone, Plantronics, SoundID…you name it, I have probably reviewed it.  All, that is, except BlueAnt.  So, when I had the opportunity to review the Blueant V1,compliments of the JAMM Store, I jumped at the chance.  And I have to say, this is a headset like none that I have reviewed.

Clinton Fitch’s Adventures in Bluetooth (the HTC BH M200 Bluetooth Headset)

Those of you who are frequent readers of JAMM know that we (and especially me) have an affinity for all things Bluetooth.  We have reviewed headsets, headphones, keyboards…you name it.  So, leave to to our good friend Clinton Fitch to find the one we have not looked at, the BH M200 Bluetooth Headset from HTC (yes, that HTC).

Although this is the least expensive of the HTC line of headsets (weighing in at a mere $38.99) Clinton really liked it.  In his review, he writes:

By no means am I suggesting that I have found the ultimate Bluetooth headset in the HTC BH M200 but I will say this:  It’s lightweight, has DSP noise and echo cancellation, has about a 7 hour talk time and auto reconnects to your device after it is powered on.  All this for under $40 (US).  Is it the best sounding headset out there?  Likely not given that Jawbone has somewhat set the standard (especially version 1 of that device) but it is leaps-and-bounds ahead of other headsets that are in the same price range.  And at $40, if you loose on a plane or in a cab (admit it, you have lost one before), you aren’t out a whole lot of cash.  Regardless of price, the sound quality and ease of use of the M200 makes it a great choice if you are looking for a low cost, no frills Bluetooth headset that looks sleek and stylish.

As Clinton says several times in his review, not bad for under $40.  Check out the full review over at Clinton Fitch(dot)com.
