Google Maps 2.2 for Windows Mobile Released:

Looks like Google has yet again updated the Google Maps application for Windows Mobile. Given this is one of my most used applications on the iPhone and it was definitely one of my most used on WinMo - I figured it may warrant letting you fine folks know as well.

According to Clinton and the information page this latest update adds transit functionality to the program which now allows you to check public transportation schedules in more than 50 cities around the world.

I did a bit of testing this morning with it here in Dallas and it works fantastically well.”All you have to do to access the Transit information is choose Transit under the Direction Menu.

Google Maps 2.2 is free-of-charge and you can grab it at http://m.google.com/maps from your WinMo powered device.
