Zune Marketplace: Three Free Weekly - Last One
Posted by: Heather on Nov 09 2008 - 20 viewsIts with much sadness that I need to say that this is the last Three Free Weekly from the Zune Marketplace. The program officially ends Nov. 11, so make sure to download the music before that date. However, MS sends us out with a few fun choices. Whitney Houston brings us one of her 80’s classics, big hair and all. Her career has been derailed, but there is no disputing that the lady has a wonderful voice. I had this song on tape when it first came out. Without further adieu, here are the freebies for the week:
I Wanna Dance with Somebody by Whitney Houston; U Got It Bad by Usher; Bonita Applebum by Tribe Called Quest
The only requirement for the free music is that you download, and use the free Zune software. I hope MS considers running this program again, because its been so much fun. They’ve done a great job of mixing new and established artists, as well as all types of music.

Zune Marketplace: Three Free Weekly

Its time once again for Zune’s Three Free Weekly, except we only have two. One of the songs is a repeat from last week. What I am thinking is that MS really, really wants you to download Never Give You Upby Raphael Saadiq. We also have a little Jazz, and some extra R&B to go along with Raphael.
God Bless the Child by Billie Holiday, Picture Perfect by Chris Brown, and Never Give You Upby Raphael Saadiq
The only requirement for downloading the free music is that you download and use the Zune software. The Three Free Weekly Promotion is suppose to end on Nov.4, which is tomorrow. I’m hoping they toss us a few more freebies to wrap up the program. Fingers crossed!!!

Zune MarketPlace: Three Free Weekly
Posted by: Heather on Oct 07 2008 - 22 viewsThis week the Zune Marketplace takes us back to the worlds of Jazz and Latin music. Herbie Hancock represents the world of Jazz. I feel like I owe Herbie Hancock an apology. For those who have seen “Tommy Boy” with Chris Farley and David Spade, its one of my favorite movies, you know that Tommy uses Herbie Hancock instead of the John Hancock, who signed the Declaration of Independence. So, of course, anytime I hear Herbie Hancock, I think of that movie and chuckle instead of thinking of Jazz. Sorry Herbie. Back to the music. Here are the freebies for the week:
Watermelon Man by Herbie Hancock; Agualine by Marc Anthony; Amores Como El Tuyo by Toby Love
The only requirement for the free music is that you download, and use the Zune software. The Zune free music program is ending soon, so grab ‘em while you can.

Zune Marketplace: Three Free Weekly
Posted by: Heather on Sep 25 2008 - 14 viewsThe Zune Marketplace has made me happy once again by picking two of my favorite artists: Beyonce and Justin Timberlake. Beyonce’s song Irreplaceable is one that everyone should own. Its the perfect angry break-up song. What is a better message than “I can find someone better than you in a minute.” The song is obviously sung from a female point of view, but guys can just reverse the genders around in the song no problem. The message speaks to all.
Irreplaceableby Beyonce; Hey Baby (Jump Off)by Bow Wow/Omarion; Until The End of Timeby Justin Timberlake
The only requirement for the free songs, is that you downloadand install the Zune software, which is free. I have some sad news about the Three Free Weekly. The program will be ending on Nov. 4. There are only six weeks left, so hurry and download the music now.

Zune Marketplace: 3 Free Weekly - Sept. 5
Posted by: Heather on Sep 05 2008 - 21 viewsOne….Two…..Three!!! No, that’s not three strikes, and you’re out. Its three home runs from the Zune Marketplace. The artists that were picked this week are a few of my favorites. Christina Aguilera has just an amazing voice. Every time I hear “Beautiful” on the radio, I am just blown away. Luckily for everyone, that is just the song that is yours for free. Joining Christina are: Alicia Keys and Leona Lewis. It is an all Pop week here in Zune town.
Beautiful by Christina Aguilera; Fallin’ by Alicia Keys; Yesterday by Leona Lewis
Definitely don’t miss out on these freebies!!! To refresh everyone’s memory, the songs can only be downloaded via the Zune software, but its free. Once you install the software, go to the marketplace, and search for “Three Free Weekly”. One of the results will say “Three Free Weekly/mixtapes”, and that’s the link you want. It will take you right to the list of free songs available. Simply click ‘Buy’, and they are all yours.

Zune Weekly Freebies
Posted by: Heather on Sep 01 2008 - 25 viewsThe Zune Marketplace has made an excellent choice for one of its weekly freebies: Johnny Cash. I personally was never much of a country fan, and I am still not, but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the movie “Walk the Line”. The music, as well as the acting, is tremendous, so I would highly recommend renting it. The Oscars do get things right once in awhile. The other Zune picks for the week come from the worlds of Hip-Hop and Latin music.
I Walk the Line by Johnny Cash, Valerie by Mark Ronson, and El Proximo Tonto by Banda Machos
The only requirement for downloading the free music, is that you use the Zune software, which can be downloaded for free.
