eWallet for BlackBerry Open Beta!
Posted by: Peter Murphy on Nov 06 2008 - 36 views
It always feels strange to start a sentence with an uncapitalised letter, but when that’s the app name you just have to do it don’t you.
Our friends at iliumsoft have recently started developing for a couple of the less popular OS’s, iPhone and Blackberry, with their first release being eWallet for the iPhone, which Thomas reviewed earlier.
The joy to spread today is that they have now released an open beta of eWallet for Blackberry devices, and you can try it out now.
eWallet for BlackBerry is finally here!It isn’t available for purchase yet, but we’re very excited to announce that you can download a Beta version of the software today! This version is a full featured version and will synchronize with eWallet 6.1.3 for Windows PC (available for download here.)
Although this is a Beta version of the application, it is extremely solid and works great. It IS a Beta though, so all the usual warnings and disclaimers apply (for instance, be sure to make a good backup of your wallet files before you start using it, use at your own risk, etc.) Again, it is extremely solid but officially it is a Beta.
Of course it comes with all of the usual disclaimers, and will only function for a limited time, but it works with the current desktop version, and as always iliumsoft are soliciting your feedback, which they always note and consider. You can help to develop an application by participating and giving feedback, that’s always exciting. Check out the original post at ilium’s blog, at the link below!

Ilium Software eWallet for iPhone Hits the App Store.
Posted by: Peter Murphy on Jul 19 2008 - 94 viewsOur friends at Ilium have been lamenting the time it has taken to get their eWallet program for iPhone up and available at the store. Well I’ll bet they’re partying now, as it’s available now.
As Lauren told us the other day, eWallet had been trapped in App Store purgatory, well it seems they’ve now been cleared for App Store Heaven.
Some of us Windows Mobile users think it shouldn’t have been shared with those smarmy Apple guys, cause it’s one hell of a program, and they’ve gloated enough. Good on Ilium though, as most of us here at JAMM will attest, they make qualty software. So good in fact that three of their programs made it into the JAMM Essentials list for 2008.
So now we have to share the love, and congratulate Ilium on their foray, however frustrating for them, into the iPhone market. I wonder which of their apps will get the fruity makeover next? Which would you most like to see in the app store?

eWallet: Coming Soon To A BlackBerry Near You!
Posted by: dgoldring on Jul 15 2008 - 117 views
Last week, Lauren brought you the news of eWallet 6.1 for Windows Mobile devices. This is a great update of a fantastic program. And yet, I felt a certain sadness in the air. It was almost as though a million Blackberry users all let out a giant sigh in unison. I mean, eWallet is available for Palm, Windows Mobile, heck even the iPhone (almost)…but no Blackberry love. Or is there?
I was checking out Ilium’s blog earlier today when I noticed this piece previewing the upcoming eWallet for Blackberry. Yes, that’s right Blackberry users, now you too can enjoy the the freedom of having all of your personal passwords and data right there in your pocket. Passwords, bank accounts, credit cards, software registration codes. You name it, you are going to want it. So, start collecting all of your data and get ready to enter it all into your Blackberry. eWallet will be here before you know it.
And if you are a serious Blackberry user, then you are probably highly anticipating the Bold. Well, Boy Genius Report has a fantastically thorough review of the new Blackberry. Their conclusion? Well, it doesn’t suck. But it also may not be all that and a sack of chips either.
Check out the full Blackberry Bold review, here. I wonder how eWallet would look on that nice Bold screen? Blackberry users, what do you think? Looking forward to eWallet? How about the Bold? Or do you have your sights set on something else? Let us know.
