You like Nokia devices but don’t like their OS choice? Well maybe you will be one of the first to buy a new Nokia Windows Phone.

I know. I was too fast, but the slide shown by Jukka Kiiskinen (head of Internet services at Nokia) during a presentation allows us to fly with our fantasy.
The slide shows a sketch of 2010 Nokia’s apps and services, and at the OS level we find a Windows box, near to the Series 40, Symbian and Maemo OSs. This could also refer to Nokia’s Booklet 3G, but the next netbooks by Nokia should be running MeeGo, not a Microsoft OS.
I don’t like Symbian but I like Nokia’s design and hardware, and it wouldn’t be so bat to find some Windows on them, what do you think?
Via: WMPowerUser
In case you’re scratching your head, wondering what Maemo is right about now, it’s the Linux operating system that runs on Nokia devices like the n800, n810 and n900. It’s only logical that if SPB Software was going to release anything for this platform, or anything Linux oriented in general, that the price would be a whopping $0. Typically software is for Linux, and therefore Maemo, is free, and moreso it is typically open source. I definitely don’t suspect that SPB went the open source route, though, and I understand as it would undermine their IP on other platforms to one degree or another.
If you are using a Nokia nxxx series device, you are likely going to want to check out SPB Brain Evolution here. If you do, we would love to read your comments!
