More “My Little Tank” News from Astraware
Posted by: Heather on Nov 18 2008 - 10 views
In case you missed yesterday’s news, Astraware released “My Little Tank” for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Well, today, even more people get to join in the MLT party!!! Astraware released it for S60, as well as Blackberry, for the first time today. For Palm OS and WM users, don’t worry, you are not being left out in the cold. MLT has been updated to include newer WM and Palm devices, and they have added 20 new levels. That gives the game a total of 80 levels!!! “My Little Tank” is an arcade shooter game were you play the role of a mini-tank out to defend your base while destroying enemy tanks, radar stations, and bases. Plus, you will run into all kinds of terrain changes from snow and swamps to plains and deserts. If you already have a registered copy of MLT, the upgrade is free. If not, it can be purchased from Astraware for $9.99. Its also available for the sale price of $4.95, if you are a member of Club Astraware. Honestly, for $4.95, I am going to go home and download this game. I love the little strategy games, and this will be great entertainment for traveling or waiting in line during the holiday shopping season.

Iliumsoft gets King’d: Releases a new King’s Corners Game for iPhone
Posted by: Brandon Steili on Nov 17 2008 - 14 viewsSorry folks, you’re not going to get a full review out of me on this one on opening day, but I can tell you I had a chance to spend sometime with King’s Corners during the beta period, and its actually quite a bit of fun. Now, this is not a game you’re going to spend hours and hours straight playing (maybe)… its one you’re going to find you spend a lot of time playing in small time segments like when you’re waiting for your doctor, or a friend. It’s the perfect time waster game where you only have a couple minutes between events. Anyway the game is out now, retails at 99 cents (iTunes), and frankly is well worth the buck!

From the website:
Long lines? Waiting rooms? A missing waitress? They all leave frustrating gaps in your day. Don’t get upset - get Kings Corners and fill the gaps!
Kings Corners is a great new solitaire game from Ilium Software, available for your iPhone™ or iPod® touch.
Can you fill all the face card slots before you run out of space? Or will you paint yourself into a corner? Kings Corners is easy to learn but challenging to master. It offers an exciting mix of both chance and skill.
Check it out on the King’s Corners page at Iliumsoft

Presenting Travel Genius From HeroCraft
Posted by: Heather on Nov 17 2008 - 10 views
After a small delay, HeroCraft has released Travel Geniusfor the Palm OS, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, and Symbian. The game tests your skills in the world of geographical trivia. The world is becoming a smaller place every day, and this is a tool, that is not only fun, but helps you learn about exotic far away places. It contains more than 700 questions that cover much more than simply country and capital city like we learned in grade school. You will be tested on countries, oceans, people, famous personalities, and great inventions. Do you think you are up to the task? I will be receiving a copy of the game to review. So check back to see if I am a Travel Genius, or if I will be working to see if I can even measure up to a fifth grader.
Price of Travel Genius is $15.95. Check out their full Press Release after the jump.

Get Tanked! Astraware releases My Little Tank for iPhone and Touch
Posted by: Brandon Steili on Nov 17 2008 - 21 viewsI’m not going to go too far into this one because as usual this game is available for almost every platform under the sun, and there’s a video (below) which highlights the gameplay very well. Kudos to Astraware for making these videos available. Without a demo ability the videos really let you know if this is going to interest you!

Opera Mini 4.2 beta released!
Posted by: Peter Murphy on Nov 12 2008 - 17 views
I’ve been using opera Mini for a while on a crapola Samsung E250, the best solution for email on the go, the native WAP browser that came with the phone is really inadequate for everyday internet use. For those of you that have Java enabled handsets of any kind, it’s worth a look.
Opera Mini 4.2 beta installs next to any existing stable Opera Mini version on your device and will not overwrite any of your data.
Alternatively, you may download Opera Mini to your computer for a manual installation.
- Standard Opera Mini 4.2 beta JAR (124 KB)
- Standard Opera Mini 4.2 beta JAD (4 KB)
- BlackBerry Opera Mini 4.2 beta ZIP archive (104 KB)
- Palm (requires JVM installed) Opera Mini 4.2 beta PRC (316 KB)
Obviously it works with BlackBerry and Palm equipped phones as well. If you haven’t tried it what’s stopping you, it’s free, you’ve got to love a bargain like that
