Classic! pocketnow.com Unboxes the MessagePad 2100

I’m not gonna ruin this one by blabbering on. Nice Job goes out to Brandon (and possibly the rest of his team over there at pocketnow.com) for a brilliant idea. I can’t wait to see where he’s taking this one, and what more they have in store for this series!

GeekBrief.tv - Copy and Paste on the iPhone! For real!

Posted by: Brandon Steili on Aug 19 2008 - 11 views

Cut and Paste for iPhone from Cali Lewis on Vimeo.

Not gonna say much here - but this:

Yes, its real … I mean Cali wouldn’t lie to us … and two, given how its implemented it apparently does not violate the SDK so it looks like one guy with a great idea has completely kicked ass over all those well paid Apple employees and figured out copy and paste without running a background process!!

iPhone Update, Version 2.0.2.

Posted by: Peter Murphy on Aug 19 2008 - 33 views

image  Not being an iPhone user, this update didn’t really mean much to me, until I started looking at the posts associated with the update. Hot on the heels of version 2.0.1, this point update from Apple fixes what? It seems to be a thing of bemusement and speculation. The update details seem to be

Bug Fixes

What the ? I saw this first over at Brighthand, and the description was

iPhone 2.0.2 is the second minor update released, and like its predecessor the only description given by Apple says is that it contains "Bug fixes".  Exactly what bugs are being fixed isn’t revealed.

But when Wayne over at Gear Diary posted the news, oh well check out the response from Chris, anyone noticing anything different after the update?

Post it in the comments!

The iPod Touch Review. Part 4: The Internet

Posted by: dgoldring on Aug 16 2008 - 113 views

ipod touch

One of the most impressive aspects of the iPod Touch is the way it utilizes the mobile Internet.  Phones and mobile devices have been accessing the Internet for over ten years now, but the iPod Touch/iPhone is the first mobile browser to really unleash the power of the full Internet on your mobile device.  From Safari to the Cloud, this was the first mobile device I have ever used which integrated the online experience into your everyday use of the device.

On My iPhone: reMovem full version hits the Appstore

Posted by: Brandon Steili on Aug 16 2008 - 42 views

Picture 1.png

Having come from Windows Mobile one of my favorite time wasters was Jawbreaker. Well we may not have that WinMo classic on the iPhone but the (very cheap) reMovem with it’s four game modes is the next best thing. I’ve been playing the free version since I came across it in the Appstore a short while ago - and seeing the pay version show up tonight, buying it was pretty much a no-brainer.

On my iPhone: Moleskine for iPhone becomes Moleskinery(+)

Posted by: Brandon Steili on Aug 13 2008 - 100 views

Picture 1.png

Pretty near the top of the list of most used applications on my V1 iPhone was a jailbreak app from databinge called moleskine. Moleskine has been heavily covered and favored on JAiB and I figure while there’s not much sense in covering all the details again, but I wanted to let you know you can plan on a review coming up on this one. I’ve just ponied up my $12.99 for the (+) version of moleskinery and so far I can honestly say I’m glad I did… this is one of those familiar faces from the jailbreak community that I’m happy to see back on my homescreen.

Anyway, initial thoughts are this:
