As I’m sure most of you are aware, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Some of you may remember the review I did on a Checkpoint Friendly laptop bag I did for Mobile Edge, and one of the things that impressed me about the company was their line of laptop bags and briefcases called the “Caring Case Collection”
The collection is designed by women for women, and 10% of all proceeds are donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer Foundation.
In addition, throughout the month of October, if you purchase one of the cases from the collection, free shipping is available.
So go on, go buy one – they’re awesome products and you’re helping out a worthy cause at the same time!
Well, we have a whole bunch of Blackberry items to give away! The Five Days Of Blackberry contest includes items from Griffin Technology and WakefieldSoft.
Now, I know we don’t have as many Blackberry readers as we do readers that use other platforms, so this is where I’m asking you to help out. If you know someone with a Blackberry, get ‘em to join the site and sign up for the contest! Put the contest up on any social networking sites that you belong to – Blackberry users are in for some great prizes here!
And I’ll tell you what, whoever gets the most people to sign up will win a prize at the end of the contest (to be determined!) – when they register and answer the daily question, all they have to do is say “referred by xxx”. See, it’s a win-win situation all round!
Today’s prize is geared towards the Blackberry Pearl 8110, 8120 and 8130, and here’s what we have:

Griffin’s FlexGrip case wraps BlackBerry in durable silicone, providing an easy grip for the hand, but protecting against dirt, dings, and scratches. Now available for BlackBerry Pearl 8110, 8120 and 8130.

Complete access and protection accompany iClear’s custom-molded, crystal-clear shell. The durable polycarbonate case is perfect for the user who wants hard-shell protection without covering up the BlackBerry’s natural design aesthetic. Griffin’s iClear is currently available for BlackBerry Pearl 8110, 8120 and 8130.
And now, for the big question of the day:
Can you live without your Blackberry? Even if you’re not using it for work related purposes, do you feel like you’ve lost a limb if you don’t have it with you? Do you take it everywhere? Tell us your stories of what your Blackberry means to you!
Just leave your comments below!
By entering this contest, you authorize Just Another Mobile Monday, and its representatives, to provide your personal information (such as, but not limited to your name and email address) to the sponsors of this contest should you be selected as a winner. Your personal information will not be sold by Just Another Mobile Monday, or otherwise retained for any purpose except that described herein.
Doesn’t it seem like time just flies by? I can’t believe it’s October already!
Here in Southern California, we don’t get seasons – well, we do – we get summer and the wet bit in between January and February. It wasn’t until I was up in the mountains this weekend that I realized that autumn is upon us – the changing leaves were just beautiful and the color was stunning – orange and gold – it really was gorgeous!
And now we say farewell to the summer season – time to start wrapping up warm and think about the next couple months – Thanksgiving, Christmas – fun holiday times….and the summer is nothing more than a fond memory of good times, barbecues, sitting on the patio listening to tunes.
So here’s one last little glimpse of the season – “Toes” by the Zac Brown Band
Hey, we can all dream, right?!
So when I do StationBreaks, I usually have a loquacious explanation of what the song means to me. This time, no explanation is needed. You all KNOW how much I love to fish, and whether you’re a fisherperson or not, this is guaranteed to make you laugh! (And just change ”her” to “him” – there’s a reason my ex left me, you know!
)
I’m going on a fishing vacation this weekend and I couldn’t resist throwing this up here!
Oh! Looky here, I got a bite!
Well, it’s good news for Palm – they’re going crazy with new app submissions and have had to hire new staff to clear the backlog of submissions!
We got more applications than we could handle well, which is a good problem to have. Unfortunately, it means we dropped some things on the floor, and that’s bad, but with the impending “stuff” that’s coming, this is all going to get a lot easier for everyone and a lot more transparent.
If you didn’t get a response in a timely manner, let me apologize to you. We should have done a better job on this, and I apologize for this. I’m working with the people I work with on this to try to make sure we do a better job of this moving forward. Good news is we’ve hired some people — one’s started, one starts next week, and the third starts the week after that, and that’ll give us some great people and some new resources to make sure this gets fixed and works properly.
Now that’s the kind of problem any company would like to have these days! Although it might be frustrating for the people who have submitted apps, it’s great news for Palm that there is such a huge amount of interest!
In other Palm news, they have just issued a press release announcing an increase in the number of shares available for public offering of common stock to 20,000,000 shares (NSDQ: PALM).
