Blogging to go : MoBlog

MoblogCap

In a previous article, I wrote about LiveJournal, and LJ Mobile.  But not everyone has (or wants) a LJ Blog.  Some people are happy with Wordpress, Blogger, or Live Spaces.  So,  thanks to Sampath Dassanayake (Web site), there is a (FREE) mobile alternative for the above 3 blogging platforms.

From the developer’s web site:

moBlog is a .NET Compact Framework (.NETCF) 2.0 dependent application. Hence you will need to have .NETCF 2.0, which is a free download from Microsoft installed on your device.  It will work on any Windows Mobile 2003 / Windows Mobile 5.0 (WM5) / Windows Mobile 6.0 (WM6) devices.

MoBlog supports both WM Professional (Touch screen), and Standard (Non-touch screen).

Does your device have what it takes?  Sound interesting?  See you on the next page.

The numbers are staggering.  Blogs are everywhere.  What did I do today.  Where am I going.  Where did I hide the body……  Needless to say, you will find people blogging about EVERYTHING.  There are many different services available.  Some are free, some aren’t.  But when you are on the move, how can you post the rant that’s been building all day long?

I know there are many blog sites / services.  I’m picking one to talk about.  Live Journal.  But wait.  This is Just Another Mobile Monday!..  This is supposed to be about Mobile stuff.  Enter "Six Apart Live Journal Mobile".

Seems like only yesterday that if I wanted to not hold my phone, I’d have to dig out the old trusty wired headset. Not really a headset. More like ear-buds with a microphone. Plug it in, and cross my fingers that it wouldn’t come unplugged during a conversation. Remember those days?… In your car, the wire would get caught on your seatbelt?… Well, no longer an issue that Bluetooth was invented. Here’s my take on one.

Motorola Bluetooth® Headset H800 Black - 98797N

The following paragraph is from Motorola’s Web site.

The Motorola Bluetooth® Headset H800 perfectly combines fashion, form and function. The Motorola H800 is the first to offer the convenience of RapidConnect™ sliding technology, smoothly extending the headset to take calls at the touch of a button. Sleek and stylish with distinctive Black Licorice color and intricately etched designs, the Motorola Bluetooth® Headset H800 has an elevated speaker to deliver high-performance audio and superior call quality whether on a quick call or an extended conversation. The Bluetooth® Headset H800 has up to six hours of talk time or eight days of standby time, plus interchangeable ear hooks to assure a more secure fit.

World Power(ed).

Posted by: ssschmidt on May 05 2008 - 236 views

Photo: Alikai via FlickrAs with all (or most) things tech, you gotta have power.  With most of today’s devices, if it wasn’t around the world in 8 hours, things could get difficult.  As a worker in a hotel, I will be the first to tell you that things here in the “states” aren’t the same as across the pond.  Can’t believe how many times I’ve been asked for one of those European dodads..
