Holiday Happiness From the Hess

Posted by: Judie on Nov 19 2007 - 382 views

Michael Hess from Skooba Design has passed on a very special Holiday savings offer that I wanted to share with you all. If you are interested in saving "half price or better" on some really great laptop and gear bags, as well as being entered in a drawing for a $500 Skooba Shopping Spree, you’ll want to sign up for Skooba Design’s upcoming deal-a-days.

We are trying out an unusual (and possibly insane… ask me in a month) holiday experiment this year, and I am hoping you’ll share the news with your readers.

Basically, we are putting our own twist on the deal-a-day type sites (woot.com, etc.) and will be running one-day, one-product “megadeals” (we’re talking half-price or better). A least once a week during the holiday season, starting this week, we’ll be sending out an e-mail with a one-day-only offer, on one hot product, while supplies last. The only catch is that these deals will be by invitation only, as we do not want to be an unwelcome addition to anyone’s e-mail load. The deals will absolutely *not* be published in any public area of our site or promoted anywhere else. There are only 2 ways to get included on the insider deals—through an invitation we’ll be e-mailing to our newsletter subscribers today, or through a private link, which we are *only* publicizing through our tech site “circle of friends”… your readers just need to go to this sign up page and they’ll be in on the deals:

http://www.skoobadesign.com/holiday_deals.php

As a bonus, everyone who signs up will be automatically entered in a drawing for a $500 Skooba Shopping Spree, no purchase necessary.

Again, I hope you’ll see fit to post this announcement, as I know that your readers (like most techies) love an inside deal. And boy, is this an inside deal—and obviously a great time of year to get one. This announcement is going out to all of our regular friends and contacts in the tech site world, but please feel free to forward or share with other quality sites you may be friendly with and that you think would appreciate/spread the news. We genuinely want to have some fun with this and give away some unusually great deals.

What are you waiting for? Go sign up! :-D

Find The Golden Ticket, Win A Prize From Proporta!

Posted by: Judie on Nov 07 2007 - 426 views

Hannah the fair has just sent notice of the latest news from Proporta. In her email, she says:

We are giving people the chance to win one of many brand new iPods. And, if they don’t happen to win one of those, they still have the chance to win one of our great Proporta products. So, it’s a ‘win win’ situation really - well, if you’re one of the lucky ones anyway!

All you have to do to enter is “place an order with Proporta between the 12th November and 31st December 2007 and you will automatically be entered into the prize draw. Winners will be selected at random and if you’re lucky enough to be one of them, Santa will include your golden ticket and more importantly, your prize.”

Help Choose the Future Colors of the LapWorks’ Futura

Posted by: Judie on Sep 27 2007 - 690 views

The LapWork’s LaptopDesk Futura has received some extremely favorable makes, both from Doug Goldring here at JAMM, and also from Jerry Raia over at  Gear Diary.  As promised it will soon be available in more colors than just the slightly boring (although highly professional) steel gray that he tried.

Take a look at an opportunity being offered to all of us, to choose the colors this handy gadget will be offered in…

We are asking LapWorks’ customers and other interested parties to help select the colors we plan to offer for the new Laptop Desk Futura. The newly-announced Futura will be LapWorks’ first portable laptop desk to come optionally in bright fashion colors.

Here is the link to the Futura Color Survey and color samples.

We would like to hear from you and your readers. The initial colors we’re thinking of are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet (purple) and pink. Although the rubber pads will remain black, the plastic halves will be completely painted on both sides.

Proporta Quickie

Posted by: Judie on Sep 25 2007 - 483 views

This just came in from the lovely Hannah at Proporta, and you had better jump if interested because I don’t know how long these 2G Nano items will last! ;-)

Today’s email is not one of the standard Proporta press releases. Today I’m emailing you to let you know that due to the release of the new iPod family, Proporta are offering around a 40% discount on their 2G nano iPod products. I thought you might like to let your visitors know about this fantastic offer which will be available from today.

In addition, following up from the last press release about new Proporta products for the new iPod family - images are still on their way. However, we do have images of the 3G nano Classic Case

…and the 3G nano Silicone Case.
