Great news for Palm Pre owners! According to jkOnTheRun the Palm Pre is getting a new addition: Evernote. I have been using Evernote on my Windows Mobile device for several months and find it to be a must have program. Evernote is currently available for Windows, Mac, the Web, iPhone, Windows Mobile…and now the Palm Pre.
So what does that mean to you? Evernote is always within reach and notes added via any of these versions are always synchronized with the Evernote server, so they are instantly available to you from virtually anywhere.
For those of you who may not be familiar with Evernote yet, it is one of the most versatile programs I have used on any platform, allowing you to create notes via text input on your device, as well as printed and handwritten text within snapshots and images. In either case, if you can upload it, then Evernote will recognize it! And, all of the text in your note is recognized and indexed on the Evernote server allowing you to search for any text in your notes, even if it is in a photo.
Evernote has truly helped me organize my busy days on numerous occassions. How many times have you been out somewhere and needed to jot something down, but did not have a pen or paper? No problem, you can create a text note or use the camera on your device to take a photo of what you need to remember and it will be synchronized to the Evernote server for future reference.
You can sign up for a FREE account or you can choose a Premium account (details of the accounts can be found on Evernote’s website). For me this application is one of the tools in my mobile Swiss Army knife that I take with me everywhere.
I just checked out the Evernote site and the download for the Palm Pre is sitting there waiting for you to come and get it.

Do you enjoy reading to help pass the time or to keep you up to date? Are you an Android or Palm Pre owner that would like to take your reading with you? Well, according to TeleRead Google Android handset owners can expect eReader availability in mid to late summer. The company is also working on a native eReader for the Palm Pre that work on the PalmOS so Palm Pre owners will not have to spend $30 for the Classic emulator.
I truly enjoy the mobile world myself and always like to stay connected and up to date with information and reading, but will need to wait and see if the Google Android and Palm Pre screens will be big enough to enjoy reading ebooks.
You can also find more information about eReader by visiting jkOnTheRun.
