“Bandit on your six, break right!” With lightning reflexes, Colonel Hadassa Stoneking rolled her F-18 hornet clockwise as she banked to the right and dove. A stream of white puffy smoke streamed passed where she had been – one which could have easily ended up with her life in a fiery blaze with the attached explosive payload. With her heart pounding wildly, Colonel Stoneking pulled hard on her stick pulling the nose of her fighter above the horizon to be met with….*
Such are the tales that might be told as you fly one of several fighters including the F-14 Tomcat, F-16 Falcon, or the F-18 Hornet in hostile air space as you aim to rule the skies. You’ll fly across various terrains including watery and mountainous regions. Get ready, the enemy will show you no mercy. Coming soon – to the App Store near you!
OtterBox is pleased to announce the Commuter Series for the Apple iPhone 4. The OtterBox Commuter Series offers three sleek layers of security to complement the iPhone 4’s thin design. First, a self-adhering screen protector keeps the Multi-Touch display screen safe from scratches. Next, a silicone mid-layer absorbs shock, keeping the glass panels safe from bumps and shock. Finally, a polycarbonate shell provides added strength and helps the device slide easily in and out of a pocket or purse. The Commuter Series offers coverage for the iPhone 4 power button, volume rocker and home button, while silicone plugs for the charging port and headphone jack keep out dust and dirt but flip open for easy access.*
Included with each Commuter Series case is a microfiber cleaning cloth and installation card for smooth application of the screen protector. (There’s even an instructional video for it on OtterBox’s site!)
The case runs for $34.95 and you can get free shipping if your domestic order is over $60.
The SimCity Series by Maxis has been one of my favorite game genres of all time. Relaxing and non-violent, it featured some great graphics and a great level of detail. Now, G5 entertainment brings us Virtual City Free for the iPhone / iPod Touch. Looking at the game play video, I find it to be very well made. You’ll be building all the various places such as industries, commercial districts, residential areas, as well as supporting buildings that offer city services such as hospitals, parks, and recycling centers. This looks to be a game with great potential with attention to detail. This free game is soon to find a home on my iPod Touch. This free version (available now) features 4 levels with the full version being available soon (date not announced) to feature 50 levels including a free play mode. Time to build my new city….
