I wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that this Monday we are going to be featuring an interview with mobile game developer HeroCraft. Be sure to check back with us!
Also, HeroCraft has kindly agreed to give us a few copies of their games for a contest. We know that all of you love a good contest, so be sure to join us tomorrow!
If Palm and/or HP are looking for some attention, I think they will find some now.
Starting Friday, June 18, mostly all apps of the US Palm App Catalog and Palm web channel can be purchased for half price. Only some exceptions are still available at full price.
If you think there is something wrong, don’t worry as these are the full-featured apps you could have bought before, and you will be eligible also to upgrades.
From the Palm blog:
It’s “Half Time” in the Palm webOS App Catalog
If you’ve been looking for a good excuse to check out some new apps for your Palm webOS phone, here it is: Starting today (and for a limited time), nearly every app in the US Palm App Catalog and Palm web channel are available at half price. (A handful of exceptions are indicated at full price in their catalog listing.)
These are the standard full-featured apps — how about Need for Speed Undercover, Jump O’Clock, and James Cameron’s Avatar to get your weekend going? — and entitle you to the same upgrades as always. The only difference is that between now and July 9, you’ll keep half the usual price in your pocket.
So go ahead and treat yourself a few new goodies. Because for the next couple of weeks, if you have to have it, it’s only half to have it.
Thus, in the next two weeks take a careful look at the catalog, find your app and grab it for half price!

Question of the Day: What’s best about being Dad?
A little non-tech related, but seems appropriate, right!? For me, it has to be when I get my daughter up in the morning. My wife is still asleep. I open the door to her room after she has been awake for a while and she says “Daddy!”, then hugs me as I lift her from the captivity of her crib.
Not too bad. Share your comments with us.

After spotting the ITG xpPhone at Computex 2010, JKK at JKKMobile has had a chance to play with the definitive device for around 13 minutes.
The interest points raised are:
- the screen is spring loaded and seems robust;
- the keyboard size is a little large for thumb typing (should be good for average sized hands, though);
- the touch screen is responsive;
- as you could expect, the battery takes a big part of the device depth (this is very welcome as you don’t want this device to last only 2 hours);
- the phone module can be changed (CDMA or GSM) easily;
- the charger is as big as the device…
I am waiting to see a full review of the device in a day usage, in order to evaluate its battery life and the chosen platform (Windows XP Embedded) limitations. Visit JKKMobile to look at the video.
