JAMM fans know how I can gush over Kinoma Play. Well, one of the many reasons I like it so much, not only does it bring so many apps and functions into one useful stable, but when those applications you have chosen to incorporate get updated, Kinoma tells you. Today they announced a pretty substantial improvement to the You Tube version for Kinoma Play. Here’s what they say and here’s how to do it. (Oh, and if you’ve still not tried Kinoma Play, well, you’re missing out, IMHO)
YouTube Subscriptions
Kinoma Play + YouTube’s channel subscriptions are the best way to keep up with new videos from your favorite artists and other YouTube users.
You can subscribe to channels by everyone from musicians (“ladygagaofficial” for Lady Gaga), to movie studios (“SummitScreeningRoom” for Twilight trailers), to The Muppets (“MuppetsStudio“). Once you subscribe, new videos will automatically appear your YouTube app under Subscriptions, organized by channel.
This update increases the number of subscriptions you can have from 25 to infinity.
VEVO
This update supports more kinds of YouTube content, including VEVO videos. That’s great news because VEVO is the YouTube partner site created by Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment and EMI – three of the world’s four major music labels.
With support for VEVO, this update opens up a new world of great music videos to Kinoma Play users.
How to update Kinoma Play’s YouTube app
Go to Kinoma Play’s Home screen, then choose Get Apps > YouTube and update.
