Question of the Day: Business or Pleasure?


Question of the Day:  Is Your Smartphone Business or Pleasure?

I read so many times about various smartphone users, with an exceptional amount being Blackberry owners, that have their devices provided to them by work.  I’m sure others are users who buy their phone for personal reasons, wanting the power and convenience of such a device.  Where do you fit in?

My Touch Pro, along with my other phones and gadgets, are mine.  My iPod Touch was a bonus from a job, and I use it for software testing for the job, but it’s mine… I checked.

What is your situation; is your phone business provided or for your own pleasure?  Let us know via the comments below.

Mine is mine, which is the way I wanted it. Work has started to hand out Blackberries, and I’m sure I could get one if I really wanted. However, if its a work device, I am not free to have whatever apps I want, and everything on it belongs to the company.

I do use my own personal device for work use…phone calls and keeping track of meetings, but if I want a bunch of games or apps to check fantasy football…I don’t want to be limited.

Mine is mine also. Thankfully I do not need a cell phone for work, two phones would drive me crazy. :) I use mine for work at times however, and am glad to have access to the interned and such when I am not near a computer. I agree with Heather’s comment, I would rather have my own so the decisions about what music to download, and what apps I have is all mine.
