New Netbook Messenger Bag from Skooba Design

All I can say is “Yeah!!!”. Skooba Design has come out with a brand new messenger bag for netbooks. Now as a netbook user, I have become dependent on my MSI Wind when I travel. However, I carry it in a notebook backpack. So it’s inside its own case, and then inside the padding of the bag since I don’t want it bouncing around in there. Trust me, that is a pain getting it in and out of the bag. The Skooba bag will accommodate netbooks with screens up to 10.1 inches. It is made out of a waterproof nylon material, and has 20 pockets for carrying all of your cables and accessories. I love the idea of the shortcut zipper on top. It lets you access the main compartment of the bag without opening the flap. Now that is a cool feature! You can order one today in a choice of 4 colors (Abyss Black, Blizzard White, Deep Ocean Blue and Inferno Red) for $49.95 from Skooba Design.

Rochester, NY, October 28, 2009—Skooba Design is once again expanding its award-winning line of laptop bags and accessories, with the addition of the Netbook Messenger Bag. The Messenger is the first in what will be a growing collection of bags and sleeves for netbook computers.
Skooba’s Netbook Messenger is a slim, compact, courier-style bag designed to hold any current netbook up to 10 inch screen size, along with other portable devices and accessories. The bag boasts 20 pockets and organizing compartments, yet weighs in at a feather-like, shoulder-friendly 24 ounces. Though designed in the popular, flap-over “bike courier” style, the Messenger features a zip-open top slot that allows quick access to the main compartment without having to fully open the main flap. Inside the main compartment is a padded sleeve and retention strap for the netbook, a mesh pouch for the power adapter, and a generous open space for books and papers. A separate front compartment has pockets for digital camera or other portable devices, cords, adapters and accessories, and even a special slot for a USB thumb drive. Other features include a stowaway water bottle holder, cam-lock lever for quick shoulder strap length adjustment, neoprene exterior side pockets for phone and audio device, and more. And it’s all in a bag that measures only about 14 x 12 x 3 inches. The Netbook Messenger is made of durable, weather-repellant nylon twill, in a choice of 4 accent colors, each against a dark charcoal background: Abyss Black, Blizzard White, Deep Ocean Blue and Inferno Red. The Messenger interior features a distinctive silver/gray fine-line check pattern lining, for a unique fashion touch.
According to Skooba’s Bryan Hammer, “we have been receiving constant requests for a full-featured bag that was still compact and light enough to complement the very reasons people are buying netbooks in such huge numbers. By definition, netbook customers want small, fast and efficient, but they still have things to carry, and this bag is designed to meet all of those needs.”
The new Netbook Messenger is available now, at a suggested retail price of $49.95. Full specs and dealer/ordering information at www.skoobadesign.com.
