JAMM Fans: Two Million Strong And Growing
I do not normally use this space to brag about the site. I think it should be obvious to everyone how much I love this site, and how proud I am of the work the team here does every day. Today, however, we passed a significant milestone. Today, we passed 2 million unique visitors. It took us a little more than three years to get to this point, but the journey has been well worth it.
There are a lot of people who helped us get to this point, including the team of writers and editors here at JAMM (both past and present). We have had a lot of fantastic team members over the course of the last three years and they have all made incredible contributions to the site, especially JAMM’s founder Patrick Jordan, the guy who either makes you laugh out loud or curse under your breath every time you type out www.justanothermobilemonday.com (don’t forget, you can now reach us by typing www.jamm.mobi). And I have to say that I have never been as excited about the team as I am now. We just welcomed several new members to the team, including Marc Tassin, one of the amazing developers behind Ilium software, who will be giving us a developer’s perspective on mobile technology.
I would also be remiss if I failed to mention our friends on the Interwebs. While it may seem counterintuitive to some of you, JAMM works very closely with several other sites, including www.justanotheriphoneblog.com, www.geardiary.com, www.clintonfitch.com, www.mobilejaw.com, and www.mobilityminded.com. Of course, there are plenty of others, but those are a few of the biggest. I addition to the things you see on the site, there has also been an awful lot of help behind the scenes, such as: www.18elements.com, who designed our current theme; www.taloncomgroup.com, who designed our fantastic logo; and the ladies of www.findeight.com, who have been helping us improve our search engine optimization (helping make it easier for you to find JAMM on the web) and advertising.
Most of all, though, I need to thank all of you, JAMM’s fantastic and loyal readers. Without you, there would not be much point in doing this thing we do every day. We have been seeing unprecedented growth on JAMM, so if you are a new reader, then welcome…we are glad you found us. Some of you, I know, have been reading JAMM since June 2006 when the site was founded, and I must thank you for your loyalty. Please keep reading and keep those fantastic comments coming.
Thanks to our entire community for making JAMM such a wonderful place. We have come a long way, and we have even bigger things to come. Here’s to the short trip to 3 million!
