Wow. What a couple of weeks it’s been. As I’m sure most of you aware I haven’t been around for a while so let me give you the heads up.
I no longer work at PPCTechs – it was my decision to leave, but believe me I’ll still be going back for the WriteSHIELD(r) and any services I need on my Touch Pro. In my honest opinion, I don’t think any other company can touch them for the quality of their products and the customer service levels.
Leonard was a fantastic boss and my co-workers were great to work with and I will genuinely miss them.
As for the Magic Cats……well, Stealth decided to launch himself through the window the other night, except it was closed at the time
So he’s all stitched up but is doing great and he wanted to let you know that after he gets his stitches out next week he’s got some great plans for some contests! (What? You think I come up with the contest ideas????? It’s all to do with the Magic Cats!!)
Blackberry fans……..watch this space….we’ve got something awesome coming up!
I’m also going to bring back a weekly StationBreak, so dear readers, if you have any ideas then let me know! Let’s hear from you about what YOU want to listen to!
Many of us here at JAMM are huge fans of ScotteVest or SeV clothing. It is the only clothing designed with mobile technology in mind, and I have been thrilled to watch this friend of the mobile community grow into a real clothing powerhouse. Their clothing has always been well designed, well constructed, comfortable, and chock full of places to stick all of your mobile tech, accessories, and even cables.
Today, I got an email from Scott Jordan, the founder of SeV, and although he said this was a secret email…I just could not contain myself. I had to share this one with al of you. OK. Ready. Here goes. From now until September 28 (in other words, this week only), they are having a super secret 40% off sale. The Super Secret Sale includes:
SeV Cotton Hoodie (with and without logo)
SeV Performance T-Shirt, Short Sleeve
SeV Limited Edition Cotton T-Shirt
So, head on over to www.scottevest.com and be sure to use the coupon code: LASTSALE2009. Better hurry, though, because there is a limited supply and once these items are gone…they are gone.
In addition to the sale, SeV also has added a few new Closeout items to their sale page. Here is all the information about the great deals on Men’s Travel Vests, Women’s Travel Vests, and Explorer Jackets:
Enjoy HUGE savings on our remaining stock of Explorer Jackets (only Smalls remain) and the older version of our Men’s Travel Vests and Women’s Travel Vests. All three of the items are on Closeout for only $40 each!!! (The Explorer was originally $200 and the Travel Vests $100). Because of the huge savings, All Sale Are Final—No Returns or Exchanges. The Travel Vests are the older version, with 2-way main zippers and no clear touch pockets. Click here to see a video about the differences between them and our current Travel Vests.
Again, though, better hurry. It looks like supplies on these closeout items are running low. Of course, you can always check out all of the fantastic tech clothing offerings at www.scottevest.com.
Earlier this year, the folks at Google launched Google Sync, which allows you to sync your Gmail Contacts and Calendar on the most common smartphones. Now, Google has added new functionalities to its Sync feature, allowing you to “push” you Gmail messages directly to your iPhone, Windows Mobile and S60 devices.
Just go to the Google Mobile Blog and follow the instructions therein:
To try Google Sync, visit m.google.com/sync from your computer. If you’re already using Google Sync, learn how to enable Gmail sync.
Hate or love it, today you will be tempted to give AT&T a chance.
For today only Amazon.com will offer you AT&T phones for a penny, with a new 2-year contract plan.
Note, only the iPhone seems to be missing in the offer, but all other phones and smartphones could be yours.
The Barnes & Noble’s reader is getting closer to reality. Their new product recently received approval from the FCC. That’s a good indication that the B&N reader will have wireless capabilities. Honestly, to truly complete with the Kindle, I think wireless is a given. Sony has installed wireless service in their latest reader. No details about the reader were leaked. However, I would be shocked if this product wasn’t available for the holiday season. I am going to go out on the limb and say we will see it by November 1. I can’t wait to see what they have created.
