Windows Mobile – The Beginning of the End?

Windows Mobile 6.5 is coming soon, but will it be enough of an improvement to salvage it’s share in mobile devices? According to Businessweek, with RIM and Apple quickly gaining users including converting Windows Mobile users over, Microsoft will have a difficult time to win back people to using its mobile platform.

A new revolution has begun. Gone now are the days where users are content with having mere functionality of an application. It is now about having an intuitive user interface that provides not only function but tasteful form. Apple has done an excellent job at doing this by not only providing excellent user interfaces (UI), but also a user experience that is interactive with pinches and swipes utilizing multi-touch abilities. Despite this tough competitor, according to Gizmodo, Windows Mobile 6.5 brings much polish to the UI and that Microsoft is back in the game, however it still lacks multi-touch capabilities.

This is a real concern for us WinMo lovers.
Having used Android on the google phone, I must admit that it has some big advantages:

* the main ones would be the GUI of course.
*Moreover, the memory management is far superior to WinMo. nothing gets closed or stuck. ever.

I really hope that MS manages to catch up…
