It always amazes me how much technology can be fit into such small cameras, especially quality the likes of Nikon.  I remember the large and heavy SLR cameras that professionals would carry around for School Portraits and the amazingly clear enlargements, however, I never imagined that there could be 12.1 MegaPixel Camera that could fit in my front pocket!

“Nikon Inc. has just announced four new COOLPIX Style Series digital cameras featuring cutting edge technology designed for enhanced shooting and photo-sharing experiences.”  These cameras are powerful, slim and very colorful.  Unbelievable new features come in these small packages, including a model with a built-in projector  for images and videos ( up to 40”) and another model with an OLED Touch Screen.  Watch out for upcoming JAMM reviews on these new feature-packed cameras.

The Nikon COOLPIX S70 Delivers Superior Style and a New OLED Touch-Screen Interface

· The COOLPIX S70 features Nikon’s newly developed 3.5-inch Clear Color Display and a new generation of touch-screen controls that offer an enhanced shooting and playback experience.

· With the swipe of a finger, S70 users can scroll through images and use a pinching motion with two fingers to zoom in or out on displayed images, switching between thumbnail and full screen views.  

· The COOLPIX S70 also records HD video at 1280 x 720 pixels (720p).

· The COOLPIX S70 will be available in September 2009 for $399.95 MSRP in a choice of colors and textures including Red & Red, Champagne & Beige, Black & Black, or Champagne & Light Brown.

 

The Nikon COOLPIX S1000pj Features the World’s First Built in Projector, Making it a Personal Theater on the Go

· The COOLPIX S1000pj provides users with the ability to project images and videos as large as 40 inches with the simple touch of button.

· The S1000pj features a slideshow function that allows users to playback pictures with music, effects and other creative transitions when displaying photos through the projector or LCD Screen.

· The S1000pj also includes 12.1 megapixels, a 5x Wide Angle Zoom-NIKKOR Glass Lens, a 2.7-inch Wide Angle LCD display and a 5-way Vibration Reduction Image Stabilization System.

· The COOLPIX S1000pj will be available in Matte Black, in September 2009, for $429.95 MSRP.

The Nikon COOLPIX S640 Delivers High-Performance and Enhanced Speed

· The COOLPIX S640 boasts an ultra-fast auto-focus and a short shutter release time lag.

· The S640 also has the fastest start up time in its class of a mere 0.7 seconds.

· The S640 includes a slim, stylish all metal body, 12.2 megapixels, a 5x Wide Angle NIKKOR lens, a 2.7-inch Clear Color LCD display and user-friendly features like Subject Tracking;  and Scene Auto Selector Mode.

· The COOLPIX S640 will be available in September 2009 for $249.95 MSRP and will be offered in various colors including Calm Black, Velour Red, Precious Pink, and Pearl White.

The Nikon COOLPIX S570 Combines Style, Simplicity and Affordability in Sleek Camera Body

· The COOLPIX S570 features the compositional freedom and quality optics of a precision 5x Zoom-NIKKOR lens with 28mm wide-angle coverage.

· The S570 offers a lineup of five advanced functions, including Blink Warning and Face-Priority AF, that help produce consistently great portraits.

· The S570 also includes a new Skin Softening function that automatically detects and analyzes a subject’s skin, and then adjusts smoothness for enhanced results.

· The COOLPIX S570 will be available in September 2009, for $199.95 MSRP and will be offered in various colors including Black, Red, Blue, and Pink.
