Time now to turn our attention to the games of the Palm Pre.  I was really pretty disappointed to find almost nothing here.  In fact, today, we look at the first of only three games available so far.

Speed Brain is a quick little memory game.  You will be shown a series of shapes in quick succession.  all you have to do is indicate whether the shape is a match or not a match for the previous shape.  See how many you can get right in 45 seconds.  Your final score is based on a combination of the number of correct answers and how quickly you answered each one.

To make the game a little more interesting, you can go to their website and setup a brain profile.  That will allow you to track your scores, compare your performance with other players, and even get additional data about your performance.

Although there is quite a bit of science associated with this game, which seems to indicate that it really can improve your cognitive skills, I have to say that I grew tired of it fairly quickly.  Although this was a nice diversion, it really did not engage me for more than a few minutes as a stand alone game.  I would have preferred that this had been one module in a larger brain training game.  hopefully, we will see that coming soon.
