How many of you played the original DOOM back in the 1990’s? That game by id Software was one of the pioneers of the first person shoot them up genre and it even allowed for the creation of user made content in the form of WADs. These were ever so popular on PC Gamer cover discs and the such. Did you think DOOM was dead? Guess again…it’s BACK! Hitting primetime on your iPhone / Touch, this isn’t some classic rendition but a game that features true 3D graphics. Blood, guts, and gore? You got it…WHO WANTS SOME? (Oops…that was from Duke Nukem…who we may even see a comeback one of these days.)

According to a CNET review:

Resurrection accomplishes its goal of feeling like a game that was built for the
iPhone, not shoehorned into it.

So, if you like 1st person shooters this one is for you…now, the question is…did they by any chance still make WADs possible? If they did that would be soooo cool. Head on over to the Apple App store and get your copy for only $9.99.
