Contest! PPCTechs Giveaway!
Yay! Time for another PPCTechs contest! I was going to do a little package giveaway, but the Magic Cats persuaded me to do something different.
Any item or items from our line of accessories up to a $40 value is yours for the taking! This also includes $40 off any of our repair services and the offer is valid up to 6 months, but only for the winners! We just have a few rules:
1) First of all, you have to tell us what you would do if you could make your device exclusively your own! What do you currently have, and what hardware or software would you have on there to make it better if it came straight from the manufacturer or cellphone provider?
2) You have to be a registered member of JAMM. (Just got to the Login section and register)
The Magic Cats have said they’ll end this contest on Sunday at 8pm PST July 5th, and pick the winners on Monday, July 6th (it IS the 4th of July celebrations, and the Cats don’t like fireworks so need some time to recover!)
Good luck, people! I hope to get some great answers!

iPhone 3G – backgrounds, etc right out of Apple rather than having to jailbreak. Also, if the Apple logo lit up that’d rock.

I’d keep my iPhone, but sacrifice some “slimness” for more memory, extra battery life, and therefore allow background applications!

I have recently replaced my HTC Wizard (WM6) with an ATT Tilt (used) that I upgraded to WM6.5. I’m loving it but the processor is only 400mhz (up from 200 on the Wizard) and some things are still a bit sluggish. So, I would like a faster CPU (say around 800 mhz ). Also, the accelerameter (sp?) function sounds pretty cool. Giveme one of those also! For os, I am pretty pleased with wm6.5 but I would like to try out android. No Palm WebOS or Apple junk for me. It is not part of the OEM stuff but I REALLY would like to get connected to 3G (like the 7-8meg in Europe). Finally, I would like to dump ATT (only service available in my area) for a quality, fast, courteous, inexpensive carrier (I know that is non-existant).
Well, most of the add-on software I use is freeware and a few already registered commercial apps. But an update to my I-Guidance GPS software would be nice.

I currently have the Iphone 3GS. I would like to have a faster processor, background processing, and a better battery. Of course a cheaper plan to use all of this goodness on AT&T.

I have an old Axim X51v, that is still my favorite gadget. But I’m looking forward an HTC Touch Pro 2. I’d really appreciate more (much more) powerful processors, and improved batteries (we need a minimum 6 hours at a heavy use, but the Pro 2 lasts only for 160 minutes!).
A protective case is something that I like to keep my device safe.

I also have a Dell Axim X51V, and I too consider it to be my favorite gadget
I have done a lot of thinking regarding what I would improve, and here are the results
1. A more powerful processor
)
2. Capacitive Touch Screen which will be more durable
3. Long battery life (to last a day)
4. USB or Mini USB connector for data transfer and charging with USB Host capabilities (to allow plugging in a disk-on-key memory stick)
5. dual boot WM7 and Android
6. G-Sensor, Microphone and good loud speaker
7. Lots of connectivity options: WiFi a/b/g/n , Bluetooth 3.0+HS, FM receiver and transmiter, GPS
8. Phone capabilities (duh)
9. AMOLED 3.8” screen (as JAMM taught me recently
10. Cool slick design.
All that is left now is to actually bring this device into the world
Happy 4th of July everyone !
