Palm Pre Countdown! Advanced Intel!

Well it’s little more than 48 hours away, but the release of the Palm Pre has today generated so many posts on the intertubes that it’s almost comical. The pre Pre distribution rush, of early reviews and impressions, took off today, in a way that was only preceded by the initial iPhone launch. The Pre launch is pre empting what is said to be the iPhone 3.0 launch by 2 days.

One of the best early reviews I saw today was from Walt Mossberg, comparing the iPhone and the Pre.

And that’s a pretty interesting look above, are you queuing already?

Update: Flight Control 1.2

IMG_0432

We don’t normally give you more than a quick update on point releases (like the one I posted yesterday), but there were so many new features included in this update that it felt much more like Flight control 2.0 than 1.2.  I just wanted to take a minute to give you a closer look at some of the new features.  Of course, before you read on, you can check out my original review.

M-Edge…Protecting your Kindle 2, One Drop At A Time

IMG_4813

When I purchased my Kindle 2 last February, one of the first cases I had the chance to check out was the M-Edge jacket.  M-Edge was kind enough to send along two styles for me to look at: the Prodigy and the Platform jackets.  The two are pretty much identical, except that the prodigy opens horizontally, and the Platform opens vertically.  So, we can take a look at the two cases from M-Edge together.

T-Mobile Prepaid – Nokia 1661 + $25 Airtime for only $20

I stayed up playing The Sims 3 until 3am last night (err…this morning). One thing different in The Sims 3 from The Sims 2 is that all Sims have cell phones! Well, in real life, you’re not issued a phone and you’ll need to purchase your own. So, for a limited time, T-Mobile has a special pre-paid plan what allows you to get a Nokia 1661 + $25 in free airtime for the mere price of $19.99…which is like getting paid $5 and a phone just to use their service. Now that’s a steal!
