Great news for iPhone and iPod Touch users… SplashData has just released SplashTravel for the iPhone. Available in the iTunes App Store for only $4.99, SplashTravel brings together multiple travel oriented features for the person on the go. Whether traveling the world or exploring your own hometown, with SplashTravel you are sure to find the functionality you need. Read below for the official press release and list of features:

Earlier this week, Vito Technologies announced the release of a new bundled package, Quick SMS, which combines two of their popular programs: SMS-Chat and Zoomboard for Windows Mobile. Quick SMS is now available for 19.99, which is $10 less than purchasing each program individually at their regular price of $14.95 apiece.
This will be a good thing for budget conscious consumers that are only looking for the keyboard and SMS client, however, Vito does offer an even better bargain with their Communications Suite. At only $24.95, the larger suite includes everything in the Quick SMS package, plus the mobile shell-Winterface, Contact Manager-FunContact and Weather Application.

What’s Layar? Well, here’s the deal: you point your G1 or HTC Magic in a direction and the screen will lay out the locations of interest (and all the relevant info) like bleeps on a radar. You can use filters to dictate what you want the app to show you, whether it’s bars, clubs, or ATM’s.
The software itself seems to be supported by big official sponsors, but it’d be really interesting to see what people could come up with on their own (provided that the public was allowed to make its own Layar databases). The real-time use of GPS, compass, and camera in this video is really like something out of the future – but it’s supposedly out this June! What’s more, it’s free. The bad news? The only available layers right now are in the Netherlands.

Our Fearless Leader, Doug, who runs and maintains this site is celebrating his birthday today, June 17th!
Not only does he do all this in his spare time, and keeps the site running, he also has a full time job and a full time family! He’s known as the guy that never sleeps, as he’s often seen posting at stupid o’clock in the morning!
Doug – here’s to you, from all of your team and our loyal readers! We appreciate everything you do!!
Happy Birthday!!!!!!!
Wooohooo! We love Otterbox, and they’ve agreed to give away some of their awesome cases for this weeks contest! They are offering 2 of their cases, up to a $49.95 value each………and all they want to know is what you would use their cases for?
In my case, it would be to protect my Touch Pro while I’m out fishing (seriously, you ever tried catching a fish and having to hurriedly put your purse somewhere safe so it doesn’t get splattered???)
And the good news is, this week’s contest is going on for an entire week! I am on vacation (fishing, no less) with no cellphone or internet access until Monday night.
So, I hope we get lots of replies about what you would use your Otterbox case for!!
But wait………..there’s more! But I’m not going to tell you about that until next week, so get responding to this weeks contest!
Winners will be picked at random by the Magic Cats!
By entering this contest, you authorize Just Another Mobile Monday, and its representatives, to provide your personal information (such as, but not limited to your name and email address) to the sponsors of this contest should you be selected as a winner. Your personal information will not be sold by Just Another Mobile Monday, or otherwise retained for any purpose except that described herein.
