Contest: Celebrate Our Birthday…Win A Prize

Just Had To…

It was with those fateful words, on June 25, 2006,that a small website called Just Another Mobile Monday went from being a kinda cool idea to one of the premiere mobile technology websites on the Interwebs.   Well…OK, maybe there were a few steps in between, and a heck of a lot of hard work.  But here we are, three years later, with one of the finest writing teams around, an innovative design, and one of the best reader communities money can buy.

So, how does a premiere website like JAMM celebrate a birthday?  GIVEAWAYS, of course. :)   We already gave away some fantastic cases, courtesy of Otterbox.  But how do you all feel about Bluetooth headsets?  And not just any headset, we are giving away the brand spanking new SoundID 200 & 300 Bluetooth headsets.  We’ll let three winners take their pick between those models.

So, what do you have to do to win?  Easy.  Just leave a comment on this post and tell us, if you could call any one person, living or dead, fictional or real, whom would you call and why.  The more creative the better.  We’ll pick three winners at random on Monday, June 29. All entries much be posted by 9:00 that night.

Even if you don’t win a free headset, though, SoundID still has something exciting for you.  They are looking for a few good men (and women) to help them test out some ideas.  If you are interested in getting some fantastic deals on SoundID products, just send an email to marketing [at] soundid.com (remember to replace the [at] with a “@”.

Oh yeah…and HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUST ANOTHER MOBILE MONDAY!!!

By entering this contest, you authorize Just Another Mobile Monday, and its representatives, to provide your personal information (such as, but not limited to your name and email address) to the sponsors of this contest should you be selected as a winner. I would call Thomas Jefferson and discuss teh state of the modern world and get some context around what he thinks abuot things. I would share things lite cell phones and twitter and mobile video and the like and see what he thought, especially with added thoughts on Iran and so on.

I’d call MC Escher to get some insight on his wonderful mind. I have almost 70 hours of his work tattooed on my arms, chest, and back :)

I would call General Kazimierz Pulaski from the Revolutionary War. I would him how great the country is doing and how we appreciate his help in getting this great country started. I would also like to thank him for the day off that Ilinois receives in his honor.

Happy birthday – I’ve been here since the very beginning and still read every post via the RSS feed.

My call would have to go to Alexander Graham Bell. I’d want it to be via cellphones across the ocean while we discuss the enormous strides made in the technology of telephony.

Happy Birthday!! I’d call Oscar Wilde and ask him what he thinks of all this tech frenzy, but in the end i’m sure he’d agree, it’s Just Another Mobile Monday.

Hmmm…I would love to have a one-on-one with Jesus Christ – to get his take on modern Christianity, and its relationship with other world religions. However, I would definitely wait until AFTER I received my SoundID headset to make the call so as to avoid background interference!

Happy Birthday JAMM!

Happy Birthday! Bring on the presents!

My call(s) would be similar to “Baby James” (Taylor)’s song suggestion:
“Shower the people you love with love….”

I believe I will make a few of those calls today!

I was thinking about this and didn’t answer right away.
I guess I would like to talk with someone that did little things that turned in to big things to help others, like Mother Theresa or someone else like that.

Hey, I noticed a David Gray listed, I knew a David Gray in Shorewood!

Wow, only three years? Seems longer (in a good way) than that. Happy Birthday. Bit who to call………I think I would call Captain Pickard (Star Trek TNG). I’d love get his insight into the next few hundred years. :)

Happy birthday guys!

I would call …Enzo Ferrari.

Why? 1. He was a creative and inspirational (to me) genius
2. He shares MY birthday – since we’re in B’day mode here

If I could call anyone, I’d call myself in the past, to test a benign form of René Barjavel’s Grandfather Paradox. I’d be curious to see whether or not the equivalent of vocal time travel would be possible. So, suppose I called my 1978 self and told myself to invest heavily in Microsoft stock when it publicly offered. In so doing, by 2009 I would have already known that I purchased Microsoft stock and therefore wouldn’t need to call myself. However, since I would therefore never have had the need to call myself about Microsoft since I already purchased the stock I would have therefore self-negated my purchasing in the first place…but does that mean I could still call myself in the past to buy the stock, or would it be an endless cycle of negation? :)

Though that reminds me of something some comedian said when asked why he talked to himself: he told the audience member he enjoyed talking to himself because he was one of the most interesting people he knew.
