Broken News: iPhone 3.0 is out!

voice-memo-20090608

Edit: oops, no voice control except for on the 3GS! I say broken because this isn’t really breaking: If you haven’t been told by iTunes or the interwebs already, we wanted to let you know that firmware 3.0 is out for iPhones and iPod Touches everywhere. The upgrade is free for iPhones, but $10 for iPods.

There are over 100 new features in this OS, including the long awaited cut and paste, bluetooth stereo (1st gen iPhones and iTouches not supported), more landscape options in default apps, and fantastic new Spotlight and Voice Control controls that really bring the devices to a new level of accessibility. You can check the official Apple site here, and you do all of your upgrading through iTunes. I’m not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing :)
