Spb Software House…Brings Brain Training To The iPhone With Brain Evolution
Yesterday, Spb Software House announced the availability of their award winning Brain Evolution puzzle pack for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Back in January 2007 Doug reviewed the Windows Mobile version of this game. Even though the platform has changed, Doug’s review provided many amazing screenshots and explanations of the levels that will help the novice get up-to-speed very quickly. Now SPB has ported this game to the iPhone and iPod Touch, with many new enhancements.
I am an elementary public school tutor in Mathematics and Reading and I can tell you first-hand that after a few rounds of SPB Brain Evolution, my brain hurts :=) Tutoring students is one thing, but keeping calculation and logic skills honed is another! I was amazed by the depth of subjects and varied content available on each topic. Also, it is interesting to note that this game builds memory skills in regards to patterns and orientation. Anyone who has ever forgetten theirkeys are or lost a car in the vast mall parking lot, will appreciate this feature. Check out this cool YouTube video of the game which Spb just posted on their website:
Here is some more information from the press release:
Brain Evolution supports two independent game modes: Brain Marking and Brain Training: for evaluating the current ‘brain fitness’, and for improving the score, respectively. Logic, orientation and patterns, memory and calculation, facts and statistics – all can be worked on while playing Arithmetics, Balltracker, Encyclopedia, Guess Who, Matches, Memorics, Minesweeper, Numbers, Quadronica, and Sudoku. Spb Brain Evolution keeps overall game statistics, builds progress reports, and supports profiles for multiple players. Brilliant play with high scores is rewarded with special achievement certificates, which can be printed out and used to intimidate the more novice Spb Brain Evolution players, be it family of friends. Spb Brain Evolution also cites an interesting fact at the end of every completed training.
Spb Brain Evolution Main Features:
* 10 games (Sudoku included)
* Brain Marking and Brain Training modes
* Game statistics & progress reports
* Multiple user profiles
* Cool facts knowledgebase
