I’ve been excited about The Sims 3 for a while now. If you are familiar with The Sims series of games, you know that you are literally tied to a location. It may be your house, your apartment, or a group of shops, but regardless you are tied down and the feeling is very much like being wired and immobile. Well, that’s gonna change with The Sims 3. You actually walk outside your home and can interact with your neighborhood and your actions heavily influence the other Sims in the game. How’s that for liberty?

The Sims 3 for iPhone /iPod Touch releases TODAY! The PC and Mac versions also make their debut as well. At of the time of this writing, the advertisement I’ve seen shows it is available today but I it still says coming soon on the EA Mobile webpage.

Seeing the concepts just make me think of when I first started getting into the mobile arena where we can interact with each other anywhere…it used to be back in the olden days of the ’80s phones and more phones…but now we have wireless cell phones and air cards – WOW! Over in the electronics store that I work for, I’m seeing a much larger number of people have air cards and certainly everyone has a cell phone of some type. More and more are having some sort of smart phone (iPhones included). I guess that’s all the buzz factor about it…technology is certainly quite a marvel. Ready for The Sims 3 people? Another 5 minutes before the store opens and I can grab my copy for the PC…..
