Ever wish your computer was just a bit more epic, or that that it would show a bit more camaraderie? After all, the two of you spend hours upon hours together surfing JAMM.mobi and yet when you walk away it’s as if your computer doesn’t even notice you’re gone. There are already products out there that can remotely switch your screen or computer off based on your proximity, but none of them have a name as cool as “Phoenix Freeze”.
One of the things we all need is a secure store for all of our personal information, a digital wallet. There a re a few out there, SPB Wallet, EWallet, and SafeWallet from SBSH. Recently SBSH announced that they had released a version of SafeWallet for iPhone and iPod Touch. Today I got an email that details a special deal, for the new iVersion, it’s $5.99 for a limited time.

Well, there has just been a flurry of rumors pertaining to the new Zune becoming available in June. Before I get to the news, I think MS should release all Zune products in June. Zune in June….easy to remember and catchy. Anyway, onto the speculation. Originally, it was reported that someone from the Office 2010 team indicated on Twitter that “June 2009 will be an important month for Zune lovers”, and for people to avoid buying a Palm Pre or iPhone. Hearing that statement immediately makes me think of the much wanted, but much denied Zune Phone. What else can one assume from that information? Well, MS spokesperson Brian Seitz said that the Twitter account was not an official MS Office 2010 account, and to not put much stock in the rumors. Engadget Mobile did confirm that the account was indeed fake. However, when it comes right down to it, what do you really believe? The guy who twittered admitted it was a hoax, but was it really just a cover-up by MS. We DO KNOW that there will be new Zune hardware released sometime in 2009. The rumored specs for the new Zune HD include: AMOLED touchscreen, HDMI output and either 16GB/32GB of storage. I hope those specs are true with the 32GB of storage. I guess for the time being it will just be wait and see. Until the next rumor…maybe tomorrow???

It is the classic rainy day activity. Gather around the table and pull out the giant 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle. What better way to spend the day? The only problem we have is gathering around the table with three young kids, generally ends with jigsaw puzzle pieces all over the floor, and someone in tears. Kind of ruins the perfect rainy day activity. Well, now our friends over at Spb Software House have solved the rainy day problem, by putting that jigsaw puzzle right in the Palm of your hand. That’s right, thanks to Spb, you can now solve jigsaw puzzles on your Windows Mobile Professional or Symbian S60 (5th Edition) device. Hit the jump for the full press release, and watch out for my review coming soon.
Dell, in it’s all encompassing wisdom has decided to market NetBooks in a new fashion, directly at women. Apparently the female of the species is only now becoming aware of devices such as the NetBook, and Dell wants to take advantage of that new found fact! Hence their new website, Della…
My first impression, was Dell are marketing fashion devices, accessories, that are visually pleasing, and compliment personal style. Most of us personalise our devices, in many ways, cases, covers screen protectors, software etc; and I have to say delving into the site I did like a lot of the graphical customisation for devices. Fashion is important to all, effective mobile computing is also as important. Is it though, demeaning to market the same devices, differently to women, than you do to men?
