To me it feels like Christmas in early Summer.  Verizon will be getting all the new hot phones in the coming months.  As a Verizon customer, I have been happy with the service and coverage.   Plus, the majority of my friends and family are Verizon, so I use very low minutes.  However, I have been very sad to watch all the ‘cool’ phones go to AT&T.  That is about to change.  Verizon Chief Executive Lowell McAdam said that Verizon will be selling the Palm Pre 6 months after its release.  YEAH!!!  It looks like my wish has been granted.  I have had Sprint Pre envy, but if I can just hang in there until Christmas, I will be rewarded.  Sprint is saying they have exclusivity for all of 2009, so it may be more like 7 months.  AT &T  is stating they will have the Pre a year from launch, so bonus points to Verizon for beating AT&T out on this one.  In addition to the Pre, Verizon will be launching the Storm 2, as well as another Blackberry device called the Tour.  Finally, they will be releasing their first Android phone via Motorola.  Honestly, I am so excited I don’t know what to do but jump up and down.  I do know that there appears to be a new phone in my future!!!
