Moblin 2.0 Netbook interface

I’m not usually one for these mobile interfaces on computers. I say give me a vanilla OS and let me just use my programs on my super small screen and struggle with the small text. But despite my silent protests, developers keep making all sorts of user interfaces to maximize the 10” screens we have on our netbooks.

I don’t really like any of them, but Moblin 2.0 actually looks interesting enough to use. It’s a Linux-based OS with a very cute interface and a built-in browser, media system, and an M-Zone (widget?) to keep you up-to-date on what you and your friends are up to. Plus, the intro video features a British accent! Weren’t we just talking about Coldplay?!

Moblin 2.0 website here, and the beta of 2.0 looks to be out for the trying.
