With any mobile device, the supporting technologies that are not directly attributed to the OS related to your device, develop at a different rate to your Os. Bluetooth, no matter what device or OS you are using, has become an integral part of all mobile, and for that matter, static devices you may use.
In what is breaking news today we are seeing the release of BT 3.0, it’s actually hitting the market, whether we will see the benefits soon is another question.
The fact is we all want a more efficient, faster way to interface with our mobile devices, and BT 3.0 seems to offer that! Integration of the new tech may take a while, but you have to admit, in the simplest of functions you would appreciate a higher transfer speed. Syncing any device sans cable, at a higher speed has got to be on most people’s wish list!

Looking at Engadget, I saw a most excellent RadioShack deal which features an Acer netbook for $80 adding tax you’re looking at roughly $87 to get started with an AT&T 3G enabled netbook. Normally, it would cost us $300 normally for one if we got an USB aircard to go with it which also locks us into a two year agreement for a total of around $345 after taxes. Now, I’m hoping to see some specials hopefully without contracts, but somehow I think it will be some time if it ever happens. Good stuff, now if only AT&T would remove the blasted 10GB bandwidth cap for their $60 a month plan – then it would be a blazing deal.

Have you all seen the latest commercials? Well, Apple is returning fire with it’s run of the mill "I’m a Mac, I’m a PC" commercials after the latest 3 Microsoft commercials that include Lauren and others buying PCs. According to Gizmodo, the latest flying apples to enter the fray include:
"Time Traveler" – PC goes to the year 2150 to find himself in a freeze.
"Stacks" – iPhoto 2009 can automatically sort pictures with its facial recognition technology vs the manual method.
"Legal Copy" – PC claims to be easy to use….though he’s flooded with legal mumbo jumbo.
"Biohazard Suit" – PC is tethered to shielding while Mac lives a normal life.
One thing for sure about this whole Apple / Microsoft war – it’s makes for great entertainment. Me? I’m a hybrid user….use the right tool for the right job….

I just got an email from our good friends at Sprite Software. It seems they are working on an update to their incredibly popular Sprite Backup. But before they start giving out any details, they want to hear from all of you. And they have some great prizes for people who leave their opinions.
All you have to do is head over to the special Sprite website and fill in a quick online form. The important question is: what feature would you like to see in the next version of Sprite Backup. It is that simple. Do that (it takes about ten seconds) and you can win one of 2 HTC Touch HD’s, a Bluetooth GPS unit for your device, an 8 GB memory card, or plenty of other fantastic prizes.
So, what are you waiting for? Head on over to Sprite for all the details.

Today is Earth Day!!! Make sure to go out and do something nice for the environment like: use a ceramic mug instead of a disposable coffee cup, recycle your newspaper and soda cans, ride your bike to work instead of driving. Not only will you feel good about yourself, but you will be making a panda happy. What can be better than that?!! Speaking of helping our friends the pandas, take a look at this slick new phone from AU (KDDI) and Sharp. It has a solar panel that charges the phone. Ten minutes of sunlight will give you one minute of talk time or 2 hours of stand-by. Plus, it is also water-proof. To me, this is the perfect phone for the beach. Lots of sun, and no worries if it gets splashed. The phone is scheduled to be released in Japan in June. Let’s hope this little beauty makes it to the US.
Of course, check out a few cute panda pics after the break.
