Just a heads up, Iris has been updated again, although it’s a minor update and only includes minor, and the inevitable bug fixes, if you are using it you’ll want to update!
You can download the beta update Here
You have to repeat the process you followed initially to acquire the program, but it’s well worth the effort. I’m slowly adding all of my most used bookmarks to the beta and using it more and more. Actually, Iris is still not supported for my part of the world, but it’s working fine.
I’d still like to see the ability to add existing bookmarks from other mobile browsers added, but it is actually rendering pages faster than the latest Opera 9.5 Beta, and maintains all of your current settings on update installation.
One other Query I have, if I register for the Beta every time I download it, why do I not get any email notification of updates? Just a little irk I have!
Check it out and see if you like it!

According to CoolSmartPhoneNews, more are the days of trying to find the CAB installer for Windows Live Messenger for pocket PCs. Now, by going to http://mobile.microsoft.com and then navigating to "Windows Mobile", followed by "Apps, ringtones and more" and then "Windows Live for Windows Mobile", you’ll be downloading Windows Live in just a mere 4 steps. Or get the touchscreen and non-touchscreen versions directly and install them.

I have to admit that I am a huge fan of the Lauren gets a free computer ads that Microsoft started airing a few weeks ago. I think they are smart, clever, and pretty funny. They also are probably the best Microsoft ad I have ever seen. Well, they are back with a second installment. This time, it is Giampaulo hitting the stores. While he says he finds the Mac to be sexy, he ends up choosing an HP because he wants to pay for computing power rather than aesthetics. Check out the video to see Giampaulo make his selection. Great job, Microsoft. Great job!
We all like a desktop solution to edit data on our Windows Mobile devices, it’s just easier, the ill fated Redfly from Celio, hit the market at an unfortunate time, coinciding with the introduction and utter proliferation of the netbook. Although the devices were similairly sized and priced, the disadvantage of the Redfly was that it doesn’t do anything but work off your Windows Mobile device, let’s face it Celio couldn’t even give the hardware away.
In what appears to be an astute marketing move, they have released a software Beta, that let’s you use an XP or Vista based PC, in the same way as the stand alone Redfly, whilst still running all of your normal Windows apps. Not having the chance to check out the Hardware, I had to try out the software, up till now, I’ve been using Soti Pocket Controller for the same purpose, but of late I’ve noticed some inconsistencies with screen capture, so another option like this, took my attention immediately. Aware that this is a beta, I thought I’d have a quick look and tell you what I think… [just a note, click on any of the images to see full size]

We are going off the normal Station Break path for this one. Waaaaay off. Bloodsucking Freaks is one of my absolute favorite cult classic movies. And let me just say that it is not for the faint of heart. This is a movie which I enjoyed when I was at the height of my horror movie phase. But it has really stayed with me since then. Here is how Amazon describes the movie:
One of the most popular cult classics in film history, Bloodsucking Freaks is the gore-chocked masterpiece from director Joel M. Reed. Bloodsucking Freaks is a grand guignol tale of horror set in a New York theatre of the macabre, where the audience gets sex, violence, and cannibalism! No one can remain unmoved by the intense scenes of carnage–from the human dartboard to the infamous brain sucking scene. Bloodsucking Freaks is guaranteed to turn stomachs! This movie has made every top ten disturbing film list, so be sure to see what people protested against back in 1975.
In a nutshell, this is an incredibly disturbing movie. A real precursor to what would later become movies like the Saw series. It is disturbing on both a visual and a psychological level. If you are a fan of horror movies, then you are going to want to watch this one. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you.
