T-Mobile, HTC and Samsung: New units coming up!

Last week, Las Vegas hosted the CTIA Convention – an annual schmoozefest dedicated to the mobile wireless industry. I was supposed to go, but unfortunately work got in the way, so I now I get to bring you the news afterwards instead of how it happened ;)

We just got some information about what went down at the show:

HTC’s latest messaging handset, the HTC Snap, made waves at CTIA Wireless 2009 as one of the slickest mid-range smartphones to rock Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard in quite some time. Before that, HTC launched the HTC Touch Pro2, at Mobile World Congress 2009, as the company’s flagship Windows Mobile Professional handset. Now, word has it that T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) is looking to offer it’s customers the HTC Snap and the HTC Touch Pro2 in the good ‘ole U-S-of-A.

There’s also mention of a Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) CS8 handset launching on June 24th. Details are slim, but we’re seeing “8MP camera” and “Android” being thrown around.

Clicky right here for the information.
Sounds good to me, and of course, here at JAMM we’ll keep you updated on all of the latest developments!

According to this file found at SE’s site (http://wap.sonyericsson.com/UAprof/CS8R101.xml), the CS8′s browser is Netfront 3.4, so I don’t think it will run Android… But specs can change :-)
