Station Break: Bloodsucking Freaks

We are going off the normal Station Break path for this one.   Waaaaay off.  Bloodsucking Freaks is one of my absolute favorite cult classic movies.  And let me just say that it is not for the faint of heart.  This is a movie which I enjoyed when I was at the height of my horror movie phase.  But it has really stayed with me since then.   Here is how Amazon describes the movie:

One of the most popular cult classics in film history, Bloodsucking Freaks is the gore-chocked masterpiece from director Joel M. Reed. Bloodsucking Freaks is a grand guignol tale of horror set in a New York theatre of the macabre, where the audience gets sex, violence, and cannibalism! No one can remain unmoved by the intense scenes of carnage–from the human dartboard to the infamous brain sucking scene. Bloodsucking Freaks is guaranteed to turn stomachs! This movie has made every top ten disturbing film list, so be sure to see what people protested against back in 1975.

In a nutshell, this is an incredibly disturbing movie.  A real precursor to what would later become movies like the Saw series.  It is disturbing on both a visual and a psychological level.  If you are a fan of horror movies, then you are going to want to watch this one.  Just don’t say I didn’t warn you.

If you dare…check it out at Amazon.
