Palm WebOS to Support PalmOS Apps

Not that I am sure why anyone would want to (other than our very own, Heather), but it appears that Palm’s new WebOS will feature an emulator allowing you to run legacy Palm OS apps on it.  This is all unconfirmed for now, but it comes from some pretty reliable sources, such as our friends over at precentral.net (who got an exclusive hands on today at CTIA).

And while you are at it, you check out this video Dieter shot of some of the fantastic looking third part apps which will be available for WebOS, including Google Maps and Universal Search.

I don’t know about you, but I am really excited about the Palm Pre and WebOS.  Hopefully, we will be able to score one or more of them when they are released (hopefully) this summer.  No official word yet on pricing, though, if Palm stays true to form I would predict this one to sell for $350 to $399.  stay tuned, and be sure to check out Precentral for all of the details.
