According to SlashGear, the MSI Wind is a force to be reckoned with. The U115 Hybrid Notebook which features both a solid state drive (SSD) of with an 8GB or 16GB flavor as well as a 120GB or 160GB hard drive can operate practically all business day having it’s processor maxed out calculating primes if wireless were switched off, the screen dimmed to 30%, and having all activity off of the SSD. WOWSERS! Not only that, but with the buzz of being able to run Mac OS X on it (just search on YouTube and remember that Apple frowns upon this), it certainly does put even the MacBook Air on a run for its money – imagine that, a Hackintosh on the cheap for around $550. Oooo….I have always been a fan of the MSI Wind and I still find it to be one of the better netbooks out there both in design and feel. Yes, I’ve seen the HPs, the Dells, and the Acer’s, but I certainly have an affinity for the MSI Wind – if I haven’t already gotten my Eee PC 701 I’d be all over this now.

I’ve been using GrandCentral since I heard about it which is a little over a year now. The great service that it provides is my ticket to unlimited free long distance calling within the United States. Now, Google is revamping it and adding in some exciting new features such as:
1. Transcriptions: Now, in addition to being able to listen to your voicemail messages, you can choose to have your new voicemails automatically transcribed. You’ll see these transcriptions in your inbox and will be able to search for voicemails. Transcriptions are also included in email and SMS notifications. They are fully automated, so they aren’t perfect, but we’ll be working to improve this in the future.
2. SMS support: When somebody sends an SMS to your Google Voice number, that SMS will be relayed to each of your forwarding cell phones and stored in your inbox. You can reply from your computer or from any of your mobile phones and the conversation will be saved in your inbox. You’ll be able to read through the conversation thread and search for past messages.
3. Conference calling: If you want to talk to more than one person at once, just tell everyone to call you on your Google number. When you get a call waiting notification, you will have the option to press 5 to add them to your existing call.
Ooo…sweet – especially the transcriptions and the conference calling. I wonder how accurate the transcriptions will be. My account currently still is in queue to be upgraded so I’ll get back with you all when I’m on the new Google Voice.

Apple have just announced a third generation Shuffle, that’s smaller, that has a larger memory capacity, and less moving parts than ever before, with some intriguing new features. The scariest thing here is that this little device will talk to you, hopefully though it’s not a little HAL from “2001 a Space Odyssey”, I can’t do that Dave!
The new device is smaller than a AA battery yet holds up to 1,000 songs, Apple said. The preshrunk Shuffle also adds a new VoiceOver feature that can recite song titles, artists, and playlist names, as well as provide status information, such as battery life. Speaking of which, Apple said the gadget’s battery life clocks in at 10 hours
The biggest innovation for the new Shuffle seems to be that the controls are actually on the native headphones, no click wheel, D-pad on the device itself. Hopefully the included ones are robust enough to handle the every day rigours of your shuffling!
The V-Moda Vibe Duo has been my headset of choice for my iPhone ever since I reviewed them a few months ago. From the fabric cabling to the excellent sound quality, the Vibe Duo was pound for pound (well…ounce for ounce) the best headset I had used for the iPhone. That being said, I was even more psyched to try on the Vibe II’s – the successor to the Duo.
This time around V-Moda focused on making an even more stylish headset design, improving the fit, and balancing the incredible sound quality. Oh, and did I mention they replaced almost all the plastic parts with stainless steel? There’s a reason Terminators are made out of metal instead of plastic: metal is smexier.
