iWindowsMobile Communication Suite Updated

suite

VITO Technology recently updated their iWindowsMobile Communication Suite to version 1.8.  One of the main features of the Suite is an updated version of Winterface, an iPhone-esque launcher for Windows Mobile Professional devices.  You can now choose between the old black theme or a new brighter theme that also has larger icons.  Another nice feature of this Winterface update is the ability to switch into windowed mode so that you can still see the standard Windows Mobile notifications, start menu, time, and other important notifications that Windows Mobile sticks up there.  Winterface is one of the great UI options out there that compares to TouchFLO and SPB Mobile Shell in usability for common and power users.

iDracula Updated – Undead Are Awakening

IMG_0290

If you are a fan of iDracula, as I am, then you are going to love this.  Although the version number (1.1) indicates a fairly minor upgrade, this latest version more than doubles the fun of the original game.

The first thing I noticed after installing iDracula was the two new maps.  I loved this addition.  One of the complaints I had about the original version was that the single map got a bit tired, so get ready to duke it out in the snow and inside the castle.  Pretty cool.  and each new map does not just offer new terrain.  Each of the three maps now features a variety of unique monsters, meaning that each of the three worlds is going to have a completely different feel to it.

Listen To This: Photos

This is going to be a pretty short entry to the series.  Every one of these players is able to store and display photos.  But let’s be honest, that is really not the main draw of any of them.  No one buys an iPod or a Zune or any of the others for photos.  You can get a cheap $10 digital picture frame to carry on your keychain if that is all you want.  Still, the fact that these do display your photos is a nice added benefit.  So, let’s see how they do.

SBSH Makes Calendar Touch More Touchable

SBSH_Calendar_Touch_Logo SBSH let us know that they are releasing a big update to their Calendar Touch program that will make it “more touchable”. Today, they are releasing version 2.1 of their Calendar Touch program.

I have been using Calendar Touch on my Fuze since version 2.0. I liked version 2.0 a lot, and the new version really builds on the touch concepts throughout the program. This is one of the examples of a developer going out of their way to give their customers the best experience possible, despite the fact that the operating system is not evolving as fast as the customer demand would like.
