If you are a fan of iDracula, as I am, then you are going to love this.  Although the version number (1.1) indicates a fairly minor upgrade, this latest version more than doubles the fun of the original game.

The first thing I noticed after installing iDracula was the two new maps.  I loved this addition.  One of the complaints I had about the original version was that the single map got a bit tired, so get ready to duke it out in the snow and inside the castle.  Pretty cool.  and each new map does not just offer new terrain.  Each of the three maps now features a variety of unique monsters, meaning that each of the three worlds is going to have a completely different feel to it.

In addition to the new maps, there are also two new modes of play.  In wave mode, you face wave after finite wave of creatures, collecting gold along the way.  Between each wave, visit the shop to purchase new weapons or equipment.  Super Survival is like Survival mode, but features a myriad of new power ups.

Toss in some new weapons (my favorite is the flame thrower) and this is like a whole new game.  I was a bit disappointed to find that there is still no opportunity to save a game.  sure, if you need to stop in the middle, you can restart where you left off.  But I would have liked checkpoints, so I could start a new game from a checkpoint, rather than starting at the beginning each time.  Additionally, before you download the upgrade, you should note that the new modes will cause your high scores to be deleted.  This is a small price to pay for the immense new functionality added to this fantastic game.

iDracula costs $2.99 in the iTunes App Store, but is obviously free for anyone who purchased version 1.0.
