Sony releases new EX-headphones, boomboxes, and…swiveling cables?!

Let’s take this news bit by bit. I like EX earbud headphones. They’re the first “high quality” set I ever bought back in high school, although I ended up having to buy two or three pairs back then because the earpieces had a nasty habit of dying after around one year of use. Granted, I was pretty rough on them in high school and I take much better care of my earphones now. But I really loved the look and even the neat plastic carrying cases they used to have to keep the buds stuck together in one shell (you could even loop them around your neck like a necklace). Sony has released four new pairs of EX-headphones (priced at $20, $80, and $130), the most exciting of which is pictured below (EX-500LP). Ooo!

The next little bit of news is about boomboxes ($40) and clock radios ($20) with a dual alarm system so that you’ll still wake up even if the power is out .

The final bit is about swiveling HDMI cables ($50-60), which is actually a really great idea that I’d like to see on more cables. They can be tilted at 45 and 90 degree angles.
