As you have probably realized by now, I’m a big cat fan. Allow me to introduce you to Stealth, my 10 month old cat. He was born in the wild to a feral mother, his father is unknown and he has 14 brothers and sisters.

I rescued him when he was just 8 weeks old and next week I am taking his brother in. What does this have to do with JAMM I hear you ask?

Well, the ASPCA have teamed up with Giant Crayon Games and developed an app called Shivering Kittens for the iPhone.  The concept of the game is to save the kittens from their icy confinement – here, we’ll let the developers tell it best:

In this quirky new puzzle game, you free adorable kittens from their icy confinement by arranging falling blocks. The more ice blocks you set, the more kittens you save!

 

With each kitten you rescue, the satisfying ice crunch and plaintive meows reward you for your efforts. For those brave souls who want to up the ante, Shivering Kittens comes in 10 increasingly challenging levels.

The app is just $2.99, and Giant Crayon Games will donate $1.00 to the ASPCA. A video preview is available on YouTube.

If only we could save as many kittens, puppies and other animals in real life – the world would be a much nicer place.
