The iPod Nano is already crazy small, so why not put it in your wallet and simplify your gear setup? No, no, no. Not the wallet you already own. THIS wallet!
-
Attractive lime green contrast stitching and lining
-
Secure Velcro closure system
-
Semi-circular cutouts to keep headphones tidy
-
Custom designed pouch for your 4G iPod nano
-
Sections for credit cards and banknotes
Does your wallet already have a section for wrapping your earphones around? Didn’t think so! The only thing I’m wondering about when using this wallet is how comfortable I’d be constantly pulling my wallet out to switch songs. There are some times in life when your wallet should just stay hidden away while you press your iPod buttons discreetly. Otherwise this wallet is pretty good lookin’ – and you won’t have to worry about forgetting your music when you head out for the day (just don’t forget the keys!).
You can pick up the wallet for around $50 from Proporta.com.
This has to be the best Palm Pre vid I’ve seen to date. It’s a live demo that walks through pretty much the whole device and it even allowed questions so it takes a few interesting little detours as well. The part I especially liked was how it shows you exactly how zippy web browsing is. BBC.com seems to have loaded in about 5-6 seconds! That same page takes about 17 seconds to load on my 2G iPhone on wi-fi. Simple apps like contacts and mail look to take around 1-3 seconds to load up (on par with my iPhone), but switching to another app looks to be nearly instantaneous. But I’m going to shutup and step out of the way of this video…starting…NOW!

I really had a good laugh today when I saw this article, but it probably just says something about the Australian, relaxed point of view, and any Telstra employee’s bravado and pride at knowing they now have the Biggest, fastest 3G network in the world. We know it’s all about size, packet size don’t we? Sorry, it’s very hard to not be gauche and distasteful, when talking about Australian customs. It’s customary to brag, and Telstra’s got a big Win and a big Fail to deal with all at once.
“Telstra today launched the world’s fastest mobile broadband service, ushering in a new era in real-time mobile communications that will bring major benefits to customers, innovation and business productivity. The CEOs of Telstra, Ericsson, Qualcomm and Sierra Wireless jointly announced a new 21Mbps peak rated mobile broadband modem, Telstra Turbo 21, would be available to customers on Telstra’s supercharged HSPA+ network, the Next G network, on 23 February. Peak network speeds will increase to 42Mbps later this year.”
Even greater than the network speeds are the speed that telstra employees can be pick pocketed, and not Just any employee, and I’m sorry but only Gizmodo have given it the stick it deserves,
Apparently Telstra’s CEO, Sol Trujillo, was swinging it with the boys at MWC today when his protoype HTC Windows Mobile phone was pickpocketed. Way to leave all the company secrets out like that, dude.
The stolen HTC device (either the new Touch Diamond2 or the Touch Pro2) was sporting an early build of Windows Mobile 6.5. The Touch Diamond2 or the Touch Pro2 will not be running Windows Mobile 6.5 when it is released, but will be running Windows Mobile 6.1 instead. [Herald Sun]
You know in Oz when you get a cheap deal on something you say “It fell off the back of a truck”, but this is just tragic, I wonder if I can find the phone on Ebay???

It’s not often I would do this, but as both Brandon and Thomas have had a look at these quality, low cost Ear buds from Zagg, I thought you might also like to have a look at another opinion about the unit. Justin Whitaker from Top Review Shop contacted us today about a review on his site, that he’d written, of the Zagg buds. it’s a great review, and another endorsement for these great ear phones.
“Earphones and earbuds come in all shapes, sizes and designs – but today we have a unique earbud design to take a look at with the Zagg Audio Z.buds. These earbuds are designed to be paired with an iPhone, iTouch or any other MP3 player / cell phone on the market and they boast some nifty features. Built-in noise canceling mic and iPhone music control? Check. Tangle-free nylon cord? Check. Adjustable cord sliders and multiple earbud fittings? Check. In-line volume control? Check. What’s left but to check out these Z.buds for ourselves? “
So hit the link below for another great look at these headphones, and what looks like a quality review site.
Hot off the heels on a post about a WinMo software keyboard I figure it’s just best to show another clip of another mobile system giving a software keyboard a shot. The Android G1 was released without a software keyboard of any kind, so all the G1 users had by default was the hardware slide-out hardware keyboard. With the upcoming ‘cupcake’ update all Android users will have the choice of using a software keyboard, and it’s looking pretty darn good:
I’m not really sure what I think about the whole “letter shows up on other side of screen” bit, though. I’d have to try it to form an opinion.
