Iambic Updates Software Titles

iambic-logo

Well, it’s been a while since we last heard anything from Iambic. Today they have announced various updates made to their programs.

snappy seeker

First, GoogHelper has been renamed to SnappySeeker which certainly is a snappier name considering it does far more than just "Google" searches.

agendus

Agendus has been updated as well with the following versions:

BlackBerry – v1.21 now features some BlackBerry Storm specific enhancements.
PalmOS – v13.03 has performance and stability enhancements.
Windows Mobile – v3.2 features a brand new Agenda View, multi-line support in most calendar-related views, as well as memo integration.
Windows Desktop – v5.41 has a number of stability enhancements.
iPhone – In development – expected release during Q2.

In addition, Iambic is happy to report that their Health & Diet Manager is nearing release for the BlackBerry. I’m happy to see that Iambic is keeping busy making the software we use better as well as more widely available.

PC in A Plug, Now This is Mobile Technology! part 25

Okay, this is a concept that blew me away today, and the more I think about it the more I want to share it. Imagine now, go to your gadget happy place, chant a bit, a full computing experience that fits in your pocket, and it’s not a phone. Not a Mid, but a computing module contained in a case that resembles/is the equivalent of a power unit for any one of your other devices.

Marvellplug The incredible shrinking computer is about to reach a lower limit in size, with a new computer that’s contained entirely within a wall-wart. Any smaller than this, and the computer would disappear inside the electrical outlet.

I can’t even take this in in any sort of coherent manner, but marvell seem to have a way for you to get rid of your desktop PC forever, and your laptop and netbook. A unit like this would definitely be a mobile boon, but the peripherals would be a pain to carry!

VITO Release Winterface 1.3

 Winterface1

VITO Technology today have released an update for their popular shell application for Windows Mobile Professional devices, Winterface. I know corny name, but this app really enhances the UI of Windows Mobile, and puts access to all of your settings, task management and programs at your finger tips on the today screen.

The main changes are: some UI tweaks, and the ability to go full screen and hide all traces of Windows Mobile on the today screen. The ability to add favourites as shortcuts from MIE and Opera right on the today screen, and various bug fixes.

Have a look at Doug’s review of the initial release of Winterface to get a better overview of how this application works!

Winterface is available for $19.95 Here

Ilium Software Want YOU!!

Ilium Software

Every so often, companies want feedback on their products. Usually you see it in the form of an online survey, or a little card that comes in the package for whatever product you’ve purchased.
Ilium Software have a different take on feedback….they want YOU to be actively involved in their product development. They have the opinion that to give the customer what they want, they have to actually ask the customer what they want. And they will listen.

Back in October, Ilium sent out their first advisory board bulletin and it was such a success that they have just sent out another advisory board assignment.

“The Advisory Board is back! For those of you new to the blog, the “Advisory Board” is you! Here at Ilium Software we’re extremely interested in what folks have to say about our products. We take the advice we receive to heart and it plays a major role in deciding what to do in new versions of our applications.”

So follow the link and tell them exactly what you want to see them develop and improve this year :)
