VITO Release Winterface 1.3
VITO Technology today have released an update for their popular shell application for Windows Mobile Professional devices, Winterface. I know corny name, but this app really enhances the UI of Windows Mobile, and puts access to all of your settings, task management and programs at your finger tips on the today screen.
The main changes are: some UI tweaks, and the ability to go full screen and hide all traces of Windows Mobile on the today screen. The ability to add favourites as shortcuts from MIE and Opera right on the today screen, and various bug fixes.
Have a look at Doug’s review of the initial release of Winterface to get a better overview of how this application works!
Winterface is available for $19.95 Here

Winterface Changes Windows Mobile Interface
Winterface updated to version 1.3
25th of February, 2009 – VITO Technology Releases New Version 1.3 of the Windows Mobile Bestseller – Winterface. This is a Mobile Shell comprising the options of a launcher, a task manager, and multitude of Today plug-ins. Winterface virtually replaces default interface of touch screen Windows Mobile devices and gives the user unprecedented freedom to easily lay out interface exactly the way they like it.
Winterface can now be different. You may choose either the black skin with white stylish icons or the bright one with colorful icons and 3d images.
The option that makes Winterface even more attractive is the ability to switch on or off Full screen mode. This mode allows you either to show or hide the standard top WM bar that shows the essential info like start button, time, profile, mobile operator, etc.
Another great change in Winterface is that URL favorites can now be added to the main screen not only from IE browser but also from Opera Mobile.
We have also fixed all bugs connected with SMS notifications and Weather icon.
Winterface is available for $19.95 at http://vitotechnology.com/vito-mobile-shell.html.

Winterface still doesn’t have an option to replace the today screen completely and still comes on automatically when the screen turns on after idle. It unfortunately unusable until those two issues have been fixed.
