The good folks over at TalonPr have given us some great software to pass on to you, dear JAMM readers! Let’s take a look at what we have to giveaway:

From Splashdata, we have SplashID – the place to securely store all of your passwords, pin numbers and account numbers. This is available for both iPhone and Windows Mobile.
We also have FileMagic available – this is a file transfer utility that allows you to transfer any type of file to your iPod Touch or iPhone. This is only available for iPod Touch/iPhone.

HanDBase is a great database manager application from DDH Software that offers data entry, searching, sorting, filtering, printing and synchronization across a wide variety of desktop computers, handheld computing devices and smartphones. This is available for both WinMo and iPhone

And then, for Windows Mobile only, we have a couple of great apps:

From Ringo we have Ringomo – create your own ringtones out of your own music!

And Phoneface lets you flick through your favourite contacts with your trackball or touch screen, then when you want to make a call, send an SMS or compose an email, you just press the ball or screen.

As an American import from the UK, I’m constantly amazed by the differences between the two cultures. In England, we don’t have holidays the way you guys do out here. 4th July? Bring it on! I’m waving my flag! Admin Professionals Day? Woohoo, flowers and lunch from the boss! Halloween…….only one word: CANDY!

Today is National Tortilla Chip Day. What we want to know from you………if you could name an annual holiday, what would it be, and why?

For me, it would have to be National Cuddle A Kitten Day….because who can resist such little bundles of fluffy goodness? If for one day, everyone could smile and get joy from the funness of kittens I think it would make the world a better place!

"It's Your Birthday" day! Automatic day off from work (paid) on your birthday. Or the nearest normal workday, if your bday falls on a normal day off!

How about National "Why are all the good holidays in th Fall" day? I think we need some sort of paid holiday (preferably a "food holiday") that falls between New Year's day and Memorial Day!

My cat would never let me restrain him like that. He's the feline equivalent of Chuck Norris!

Midwest, Chicago. 64 counts if you are normally 104. :)

How about act like a cat day! I've always thought that a Dog lives with you, but a Cat deigns to grace you with it's presence, begrudgingly, let's all be like that on the same day and see the claws come out :D

How about Inventors or Innovation Day to celebrate all those whose creations have improved our lives. It could be on the first Monday after Daylight Savings (Ben Franklin innovation) begins. Most of us could use an extra day to get adapted to the new schedule and a holiday would also allow us to take advantage of the "extra" hour of daylight.

We should have a Citizens Day where non-government/school/bank employees get the day off. I mean really, why doesn't the average Joe get Presidents Day off but the government, school and banks do?

Moonlanding Day. July 16, or Yuri's Night, 12 April

The younger generations know very little to nothing spaceflight. There's 3 people in orbit now on the International Space Station, which most people don't know exists. Others think we havn't had anyone in space since the Moon landing. The day could be used to raise awareness of acheivements made in science, engineering and spaceflight.
