To bring a bit of fun into it, we want to hear about your Valentine Geekiness. What’s the geekiest thing you’ve given someone for Valentines Day. How did it go down? Was he/she impressed, or were you in the doghouse for dinner?
What is the geekiest thing you’ve received as a Valentine gift? A few years ago, I gave the husband a Playstation 2 for Valentines, and in return I got a dozen red roses…..3 days late!
Leave your responses (to either or both questions) in the comments section and 3 lucky winners will be picked at random on……Saturday, February 14th!

Usually I get my wife clothes or maybe jewelry. Last year I gave her a laptop. She occasionally used an old desktop to read/print something she saw referenced on TV, but mostly computers were for the rest of the family. How did it go down? Um, a little hesitant, but the newness attracted her and now she is a regular user. It's has Vista, and I still only use XP, so now she's showing me how to use her laptop.

My wife is the ungeekiest person in the world so even thinking about getting her anything remotely geeky is unthinkable. But she did get me a Garmin iQue3600 once and that started me on geocaching so that is really quite neat.

The geekiest gift I received was a home-made Valentine card decorated with heart-shaped molecules and equations from two female lab students back when I proctored organic chemistry labs as a junior in college. It was so cute and unexpected. And I still have the card after more than 20 years…
